Two moms from Kentucky are speaking out after they were drugged and raped in the Bahamas after the US issued a travel warning for the vacation hotspot.
Longtime friends Amber Shearer and Dongayla Dobson said their first kid-free vacation ended with a traumatic, broad-daylight assault when they decided to go to the beach after the Carnival cruise ship they were on docked at the island country.
Now they’re warning other women. The moms were relaxing on a Grand Bahama beach when a resort staffer offered them a two-for-one drink deal

they soon felt like the drinks were much stronger than expected. Even their loved ones back home grew concerned when the women sent back videos where they seemed to be highly intoxicated just 15 minutes after their first sips, .

They went to look for seashells to bring back to their kids when a male resort staffer offered to show them the best spot to find shells.
But the next thing Shearer could recall was waking up while she was being assaulted by a uniformed male resort staffer.

Back on the cruise ship, the moms received the results of their toxicology tests — which showed they had a plethora of drugs in their systems, including benzodiazepines.

The mothers are also angry with Carnival — which they say failed to tell them about the US State Department travel advisory for the Bahamas until after their horrific assault.

They left the cruise ship and ended up at "a resort" where a "uniformed resort worker" assaulted them. They are angry with Carnival, and the resort is not identified. What?
Carnival probably has a bigger pile of money to go after.
Apparently everybody is responsible for them but them.

Our first out of country trip (not counting brief drives into Canada and Mexico) was to the Bahamas I’m guessing, maybe 17 years ago. We arrived on a ferry and went through customs, this is what happened.
My oldest Daughter was carrying a newer (thank goodness moderate priced) digital camera, you know pre-good picture cell phone days. They had us load everything in a chute to go through an x-ray machine. A bunch of black dudes in black uniforms were standing around the chute.
All our stuff came out on the other side and except the digital Camera. If I remember the rest of the conversation went like this:
Us “where is our stuff?”
Bahamians in uniform: “what stuff maaan?”
US “our digital camera”
bah “we didn’t see any cameras Maaan”
US “it was right here we literally saw you pass it through the chute”
bah “I’m the supervisor let me ask the workers” walks over acts like he asks them turns around immediately and say: “nope no camera Maaan”
US “this is ridiculous we want our camera”
bah “what camera?”

About this time I noticed some of the other black officials, wearing black clothes but carrying black assault rifles seemed to be starting to take notice so we tucked our tails and left.
Oddly I have no pictures to share with you for some reason.
So it didn’t occur to them to do some basic due diligence and check the State Department site?
When visiting da islands man, don’t forget a roooba!
Carnival probably owns all or part of the resort.................
They sound like sluts. I don’t believe them.
If the resort was Viva Club Fortuna its owned by Wyndham and its a 5 hour shore excursion from the Carnival ships unlimited booze and food included...
So theres money there from Wyndham though they are only worth about 7 Billion while Carnival is worth 20 Billion...
Meanwhile there were warnings for the Bahamas weeks ago...
Anyone with a brain should know any Caribbean island has these kinds of people on them.
The entire world should have a travel warning.
