I did go on to read other disadvantages as well as benefits.

The bottom line for me and everyone else..... Just reduce your sodium intake.

The bottom line for me and everyone else..... Just reduce your sodium intake.

Cut back salt consumption a little at a time and your taste will get used to it and you won't miss it.

It's not hard. You just have to do it.

The problem is, our convenience foods are loaded with salt and sugar to make up for the lack of real flavor they have because they are using substandard ingredients. Our taste buds have been corrupted and conditioned to expect the high salt taste.

Real food tastes good. Eat that instead.

If you are part of that tiny part of the population that is actually sodium sensitive, then do it. For the rest of us it doesn’t really matter. Insulin resistance is more commonly the root cause of elevated blood pressure.
