Patrick Mahomes Sr., the dad of superstar Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a former Mets pitcher, was arrested Saturday in Tyler, Texas, on a charge of DWI for the third time or more, according to jail records.

Mahomes Sr., who had been in attendance for his son’s playoff games this year, was arrested eight days before the younger Mahomes is set to play in Super Bowl 2024 against the 49ers in Las Vegas on Feb. 11.

In 2018, Mahomes Sr. received his second DWI charge and he served 40 days in jail on weekends in 2019 and 2020.

Mahomes Sr., 53, played 11 seasons in MLB, pitching for the Mets in the 1999 and 2000 seasons.

...

Mahomes Sr. and his ex-wife Randi, the Chiefs quarterback’s mom, got divorced in 2006,

...

The couple’s other son, Jackson Mahomes, got into his own trouble with the law last year.

Jackson was arrested in May on an aggravated sexual battery charge after he was accused of assaulting the owner of a restaurant last February.

Charges against Jackson were dropped last month after a judge approved a request from prosecutors to have them dropped.

“This is the third DUI for this drunk. 2 to 10 years in Texas for number 3.”

2nd DUI offense in Virginia is a mandatory 1 year incarceration and a loss of driving license.

But diplomats and their families are excused even if there is a death involved. One country extricated the offender back to US to face charges. It was an eastern bloc country...

The middle of the road consists of purposefully having a single serving and putting it away. No real enjoyment.

Why bother, country drunks stock up on Fridays and hunker down for weekends.

The BAC numbers for monday morning commuter drunks is a frightening percentage.

If he was a former MLB pitcher he had enough money for an Uber or Lyft. There’s no excuse.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. has been arrested for DWI for the third time just days before his son plays in the Super Bowl. Mahomes Sr. was charged with his second DWI in 2018 and was sentenced to 40 days in jail. The third DWI offense is a third degree felony meaning he could spend a whopping 10 years in jail. Mahomes Sr. is being held on a $10,000 bond.

Poor Patrick. His dad is a problem. But a lot of famous people have problem families. Dolly Parton has a problem brother. Jimmy Carter had a problem brother, Billy. King Charles has a problem brother, Andrew. Let’s just hope it doesn’t affect him.

It’s been within his drinking years that you could drive in Texas with an open container. He must have never adapted!

He needs to do time in prison. Of course, we know it won’t happen since he has a famous child.
