DeSantis began 2023 as the best positioned Republican candidate to challenge Trump for the party's presidential nomination, according to polling tracked by 538.
But he begins 2024 as another name on the growing list of rivals who failed to shake the former president's popularity among the GOP ---
DeSantis' early actions since leaving the race have already sparked speculation that the governor, who is only 45, could make another White House run in the future. A source close to him said that he has privately expressed interest in running again as early as 2028 and has brought it up as a possibility.

As of today, DeSantis, my governor, is by far my choice for President in 2028.
Trump is far from perfect, but I hope the obvious rage in his heart makes him the best as President to kick ass for one term for 2024. I just hope he can win and learned from past mistakes to choose his hangers-on better. With trepidations, I'm all for Trump.

desanctus is still doing what ever he can, to be in the news, likely because some ‘higher up’ people have told him he still has a chance to be the republican presidential nominee if the rnc or lawfare takes Trump off the ballot.Would you prefer Nikki Haley waltz into the nomination?

lol good one
I never understood the hate for desantis, he was in my opinion the best candidate to take back the White House. It’s going to be tough enough for trump even without all this court stuff
By the way , I think desantis blew it during the first 3 debates , I wish he were more like Vick and less robotic
He was never able to recover after the 3 first debates

“Meatball lost me with his disloyalty to PDJT and he also lacks the proverbial GRAVITAS a POTUS candidate must have in my book.”
Looking ahead, if Trump were to loose the election in 2024 to Biden or another, do you have plans to support him (Trump) in 2028 or 2032?
He would still be young enough and I’m sure he will have the will.

I see the drive-by media is already dividing Republicans in advance of 2028. And folks here continue to lap it up.

>>>I’m realistic (barely) to know that if (God Forbid) Trump doesn’t make it this November, that it will be the end of the line for him politically.
Beyond that, I don’t even want to contemplate where my mind and heart will be . . . . . .
I imagine I would either take a cue from PDJT as to whom to support or select who I believe is the best candidate in the field.
Still, to be brutally honest with you, I may not have anything left to give, especially considering how deeply I’ve emotionally invested in my favorite POTUS!!!

The DeSantis deal breaker for me is that when he got on the national scene he turned out to be a damn neocon!
To: backpacker_c
Desantis should avoid the embarrassment and humiliation of another run and just stay in Florida. He’s not the guy who can fix all our problems.

Some Trump supporters are sore winners who are obsessed with expressing hatred for Governor DeSantis. These sore winners don’t care if they are harming Trump’s electoral prospects, as long as they get the emotional satisfaction of expressing their obsessive hatred.

DeSantis is this election cycle's Ted Cruz.
He pandered GOP establishment and its donors, ran an horrific campaign, proving he didn't even have even rudimentary political instincts or the ability to connection with voters.
Don't go away mad, Ron. Go away. Or you will be humiliated again in 2028.

Desantis is a loser now and will be again in ‘28.

It's my understanding that he's doing a good job as Governor of Florida. In fact I've heard it said that he's doing an excellent job. And his Martha's Vineyard stunt was masterful...pure genius.
But his problem now,Presidency-wise,is that he's not Donald J Trump. It's just that simple.
