No it is time reassert meaning and live up to definitions
The world will hate believers no matter the term. So, let us shine our light for Christ. When persecution comes count, we count it as a privilege for His sake.
Most of the devout Christians I knew who were okay with being called evangelical were also proud of being non-denominational. So what else to call them since they believe that all organized Protestant sects are no longer Christian.

Im 75 and I was born again at 8 yo...
Ive never been a so called ‘evangelical’ ...
Its a term that has only been used for political purposes in the last couple of years...
Im a Christian...
no adjectives...
Just a Christian....
Hmmmmm...incrementally conforming to socio-political norms and then relabeling who you want to be known as.
Sounds so very “progressive” (e.g., communist).
I’ll pass.
Chuchianity is alive and well in ‘merica... The Way is said to be out there somewhere, but it’s mostly inside the believer.
when i hear “Christian” i think “Evangelical” to me it’s the same thing.
I am a born again disciple of Jesus Christ.
“ almost anyone can call themselves a Christian, regardless of how they live or what they believe”
No one is perfect but it’s become sickening watching the perverse and demented masquerade
The term has never meant anything.
No reason to abandon the title Christian.
It does not matter what term you use. The left is masterful at manipulating the language to suit their agenda. Example: genital mutilation = “gender affirming care”.
