For the first time in 23 years, none of America’s four largest automakers will air national Super Bowl ads – but foreign-owned companies like Kia and Volkswagen are picking up their slack. The “challenging U.S. automotive market” is a leading reason why.
Slowing consumer demand and high interest rates are pressuring Ford, Toyota, GM and Chrysler parent company Stellantis into cutting back on their ad spend. Car commercials are a Super Bowl mainstay – Stellantis alone has only missed two in the past 15 years – but this year’s game will be the first since 2001 where none of the Big Four are coughing up the estimated $7 million fee for a 30-second spot, according to AdAge’s archive.
The auto industry could be facing a long hangover after a brutal 2023.

I read very recently that the Black National Anthem will be part of this year’s Superbowl. I had not planned on watching.
Well, with plans for a black national anthem instead of the American national anthem, I think we should all boycott the Superbowl. I will be.
If you think the Big Three automakers are hurting now, just wait till China and Vietnam gets the go ahead to sell $15,000 cars here in the States.
When the average price of a new car in America is north of $45,000, does anyone think we Americans won’t put our national interests aside and think about buying a Chery or Vinfast for 1/3 the price?

Football is a sport for REAL MEN, and so when they started wearing PINK, I was through as REAL MEN don’t wear pink. They should have outgrown that by First Grade. Then, taking knees didn’t help either.

Maybe all the advertisers will get together at halftime hold hands and wave dollar signs while whistling the “black” national anthem.

Reba McEntire will sing the REAL national anthem, and Post Malone with sing "God Bless America."
Even if the "real" national anthem is performed, it will probably be the Whitney Houston version. I thought Houston did a fine job, but since then she has been imitated into the ground. I'd rather hear the traditional anthem.

It’s surprising how not getting drunk changes how and what you enjoy.
As an enlightened consumer (I won't touch an Inbev product and I major league resist getting anything from Target. When Dick's went woke, they lost me forever. Etc.) I'd love to know which companies would advertise on a SB that featured an apparently racist and separatist "national anthem".
