The president of the Heritage Foundation confronted hosts at the World Economic Forum Thursday in Davos, Switzerland, challenging claims that the WEF is protecting democracy and calling so-called elites "part of the problem."
(snip)
The moderator, British international affairs expert Sir Robin Niblett, at one point asked Roberts about former President Trump's promise of "retribution" if he regains office, and that the World Economic Forum's purported defenses of liberal democracy could be "swept under the rug" by the mogul.
(snip)
"I'll be candid here, because I think I've been invited here to be candid: The kind of person who will come into the next conservative administration is going to be governed by one principle, and that is destroying the grasp that political elites and unelected technocrats have over the average person," he said.
"I will be candid and say that the agenda that every single member of the [next] administration needs to have is to compile a list of everything that's ever been proposed at the World Economic Forum and object to all of them wholesale."

Once again, the question of 'retribution' was raised. Now I have no doubt a good number are parroting what the US mockingbirds are putting out, but given the type of people attended, there were probably a sizable number of Fred Kinnan types (Atlas Shrugged) acknowleging a fear of being held to account.
Kevin Roberts also caused some discomfort when he noted the WEF giving a platform to the CCP.
Valiant effort, but I'm sure the thoughts of the audience were along the lines of:
"That's quaint"
"We'll just have to make sure the American people never have the opportunity to elect such a government. See if Brian Kemp can talk his Republican colleagues into adopting the 'Georgia model'"
“I am your warrior, I am your justice...For those who have been wronged and betrayed...I am your retribution.”

“For those who have been wronged and betrayed...I am your retribution”
sounds good to me.
NEVER forget what they did to you, your family, your business your neighbors, your country.
Retribution is a settling of accounts.
Heritage foundation sucks. They have dignified WEF by attending. His finger wagging speech merely makes WEF look deliberative and deep, as though teeth are open to other opinions.
So Heritage bought a membership for 50k, and tickets at 20k a pop. And he’s eating steaks and getting a Swiss vacation.
Too stupid to see he’s a tool. Heritage would have been better by holding republicans feet to the fire, that there are very negative consequences for those who go to Davos.
Stopping then requires not giving them money and the appearance of legitimacy. He’s a fool.
Actually, that would be a reckoning. I'm good with that.
Retribution implies tit-for-tat. And while it mught provide a certain satisfaction, it tends to escalate. I'll pass on that.
And after he stuck it too then, they all retired to the wine and charcuterie reception. Him included. Unless he has an appointment with one of the thousands of prostitutes flooding the place.
He’s an idiot. Paid them 100k to say something big and tough to them. Fool.
I think the farmer's protests and the political result in Holland have more impact. And I think that worries the WEF types at a certain level. And it should.
Hope he has good security.
Donald Trump gave a similar speech to the World Enslavement Forum in 2018.
I would be ok with it if he made North Korea his next stop—and told them how evil they were.
If you are going to visit enemies you might as well do the full world tour.
Of course Magellan tried that and it didn’t end well...
;-)
What a dazzling speech! I was surprised that someone could say so much in so few words! Trump should hire him to write a speech or two
Here’s a longer clip; I’d like to see the unedited version.

Heritage goes to Davos, burns down the bridge. Scores of people realize there is hope.
The Eeyore branch of FR type bravely from behind their keyboards or Mom’s basement, that he’s a stooge.
Splinters and beams. Seems like a normal day.
BTTT
They are not part of the problem...they ARE the problem.
Exactly.
Thank you for that link.
A man who was working for a very wicked king was asked why, as a Christian pers9n, he was working for such a wicked king... his response was
“Imagine how much more wicked he would be if he had no godly influence in his life to check his wickedness”
Of course the man couldn’t do much to oppose the king, but he was at least being and influence for good which he hoped would get through to the king one day- had he not wo4ked for him, the king would never even hear the godly inspired messages of opposition.
The new president of Argentina, and now this. Personally, I like taking the fight to these a**holes in their own venue. It is all part of the fight from farmers protests to calling out these scumbags to their faces.
More of what he said:
“It’s laughable that you or anyone would describe Davos as ‘protecting liberal democracy’,” he said.
Which of course went right in one ear and out the other of those in attendance, but meh- at least he said what everyone knows to be true... WEF is a joke, and their claim of protection g democracy is nothing but a big fat turdburger lie
It was still a mistake. It would have only been ok if Trump would have announced nobody else in his administration would even attend.
WEF is evil, started by the unrepentant son of a nazi, and it’s wrong to help that cabal advance it’s agenda.
Yep... good point.
