Given the difficulty of getting to the stadium and the cold working conditions, that seems a bit low. It would be interesting to see how many people show up.
Anyway, I’m out. But my dog can use the money. She’s on the way now.
Doesn't that discriminate against the global warming-fleeing illegal aliens? Smells like a lawsuit.
Why can’t they use a Bobcat?.................
Potential damage to the turf?
The question I have is where are they going to put the snow? Can they bring in dump trucks?
I’d sure like to watch that game tho. I love football in the snow.
There must be an access way thru for vehicles. How do they bring in the sod?
The ground is frozen so a Bobcat wouldn’t do much damage................
“And everyone must have proper photo identification” So you need photo i.d. to shovel snow, but photo i.d. to vote is racist?
They need people to clear snow from the stadium seating area. That’s got to be done by hand even if there are machines for everything else.
Maybe they will use bobcats, there’s nothing in the article that says they won’t. Anyway, Sunday’s game was postponed till Monday
Just saw a video, bobcats and dump trucks are being used
In regular circumstances, that would be low.
My guess is they have their base of fanatics properly pegged—and know that their offer will bring out sufficient shovelers.
From the year 2000:
Snow is starting to disappear from our lives. Sledges, snowmen, snowballs and the excitement of waking to find that the stuff has settled outside are all a rapidly diminishing part of Britain's culture, as warmer winters – which scientists are attributing to global climate change – produce not only fewer white Christmases, but fewer white Januaries and Februaries … Global warming, the heating of the atmosphere by increased amounts of industrial gases, is now accepted as a reality by the international community … According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become "a very rare and exciting event". "Children just aren't going to know what snow is," he said.
IIRC the Patriots have called upon such shovelers in the past to shovel out the stadium seats, not the playing field.
I thought they moved the game
It was offered to be played in Cleveland but they turned it down................
Good dog!
The governor canceling the game hampers the winner by shortening the prep time for the next game.
