Yes- i remember that game!!
I was actually in Shea Stadium watching the Jets beat up on the Tampa Bay Bucs in 8 inches of snow and everybody was waiting for a score of that game because it was important- this was 1982 and no cell phones/ESPN/etc.
All of a sudden the score pops up on the big screen at Shea:
Dolphins: 0
Patriots: 3
The few of us remaining in Shea went wild. It was only when i got back to my apartment, i was a student at St John’s, did i find out the guy who plowed the area for the FG kicker was a parolee on work release!!!
