The public is constantly being told that the Earth is the warmest it has ever been.
And that warming is being caused by humans, our use of natural resources, and CO2.
And the solution for the media and other Democrats is the same as the solution for all problems: We need a bigger government, with higher taxes and more regulations and of course, the government has to be run by Democrats.
We need to give up our gas-powered cars, furnaces, gas stoves, and appliances before it is too late.
Something that never gets in their way as they push this green agenda are facts.
And here is a scientific fact: If all the things we have been told cause warming that we have used a lot of in the last 160 years, we would not be setting a massive amount of cold temperature records.

Just what was the high temperature in Rome on March 15 in 44 BC? How about the morning low temperature in Hastings on October 14, 1066? Just who was monitoring temperatures on the North American continent in the year 1250?How cold was the average temperature during the last Ice Age? Yet we are told last year was the hottest year in millennia. The only reliable surface temperatures for the planet are from satellite data collected only in the last 50 years and without manipulating the numbers there is no warming trend and quite contrary the trend is cooler not warmer.
With temperatures plunging tonight in the Midwest to minus teens and below and typical of these polar vortices winds are relatively calm, how would windmills generate enough electricity to heat homes? The last month has had scant few days of sunlight nixing any serious contribution from solar cell farms to our electric needs. I can only hope that Greta Thunberg is freezing in her bed tonight.

The article goes on about how we can use ice cores and tree rings to extrapolate temperatures BUT... That is not accurate, rather only down to a plus or minus a couple of degrees Fahrenheit.
So we’ve only had decent temperature measurements since 1850, and not all at once, but over a long period of time (the best records starting in Western Europe and the USA), gradually only reaching remote locations in the past 70 years or so (after WWII). Satellite surface temperatures have been gathered since the late 1960s but the accuracy is not as great as the carefully placed modern thermometer at a documented earth station.
The warming of the past several decades has been about 1-2 degrees Celsius. That’s it. And they say it might go up as high as 5 degrees—where the biggest doom and gloom stories exist. Yet they’re not sure. Some computer models say global temperatures could get this high.
