Acts 10:8-16 And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa. On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

Acts 15:8-11 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Acts 15:28-29 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

Galatians 3:1-11 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Do you also keep the rest of the Law? All of it?

Do you require circumcision? Make sacrifices at the Temple?

You really need to read the whole Bible for full flavor.

Indeed. Are there two Gods in the Bible? The mean one in the Old Testament and the new improved one in the New Testament?

What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

This was a lesson dealing with the lowlife unclean Gentiles which every Jew knew had NO chance at Salvation. This was nothing about food.

Making sacrifices was made null at the Cross because Jesus was The Sacrifice. All of the previous sacrifices pointed to Him. The fact is that God made known to the Hebrews what He desired. The clean/unclean foods had to do with the human body being the temple of God and should not be polluted with scavenger meat. The fact that God does not want us to do it should be reason enough not to do it. Do what you will.

Rationalize Law keeping all you want.

It doesn’t change that we are not bound by it for salvation.

Look, if you want to adhere to the dietary restrictions of the Law, nobody is stopping you.

No one is forcing you to eat anything you consider unclean.\

However, you need to read Romans 14 and take it to heart.

You have no right or authority to demand it of others.

Law keeping never saved anyone. If it did, Christ died for nothing.

Rationalize law Breaking all you want.
God has standards. Satan did not like being held to a standard and neither does mankind. We are rebellious by nature.

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

Matt 5:17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.

The purpose of the Law is to point out sin, not save us. Don't conflate this point.

Romans 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet…

And Christ is the ONLY one who could fulfill the Law.

Believers are not bound by the constraints of the Law.

Besides, picking and choosing what of the Law you want to obey, is disingenuous.

If you’re going to advocate for adherence to the Law, do ALL of it. Don’t pick and choose.

Speaking of which. it’s Saturday, the Sabbath. Why are you posting?

Obviously, we need to use Francis Bacon's scientific method to determine the truth about bacon.

"You have no right or authority to demand it of others."
Indeed you are correct. I don't but God does.

"Law keeping never saved anyone. If it did, Christ died for nothing."
2 for 2, you are correct again. Works do not save. The Law does not save (that's not its purpose). But it does point out our deficiencies that we may present ourselves before God without shame. The sacrifice of Jesus covers our sins that we unknowingly or mistakenly do. But you are talking about blatant calculated sin which God does not wink at. You know He doesn't like it and you're going to do it anyway. You rationalize it(everyone else is doing it) or claim pretend ignorance (my pastor/priest said it was okay) or it's just easier to go along to get along with the world.

Oh noes! She's caught me. Caught me what exactly? Defending Gods Word on the Sabbath? Would Jesus do such a thing or the Apostle Paul? You're really reaching on that one.

"Believers are not bound by the constraints of the Law."
Really? So, it's a get out of jailHell free card? Because you are a believer. You PROVE you are a believer by your actions. Otherwise there are NO Laws or standards in Heaven.
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

The smell, makes me want to vomit.

When my wife as pregnant with our daughter, she could not stand the smell of bacon cooking. And it has stayed with her to today. She can eat it but I just have to cook it in the garage. Similar story to Bourbon and me in high school, but that's for a different day. ;o)

Dr. Berry is proponent of The Carnivore Diet, where basically you only eat meat and meat organs. Jordan Peterson is also a proponent of The Carnivore Diet.

God already knows if you are a believer.

You aren’t proving to Him you are by law keeping.

All it does is give others occasion to judge other people for not measuring up to the legalistic standard they set up.

The fruit of the Spirit is the character of Christ being formed in one, not adherence to rules and regulations.

My mother, the biggest junk food addict I’ve ever known, passed away a few months ago at the tender young age of 101 and a half.

Yeah, I’m one of those radium kids. When I was 10 I had radium on rods shoved up my nose to get the radium close to my inner ear to reduce the swelling from chronic ear infections. This was a treatment developed by the Air Force to get infected pilots back flying sooner. Since we lived next to a base I got selected to try it too. Over the years there’s been allegations of cancers and brain tumors from the treatments, but so far, I haven’t had any of those problems. (Knock on wood)

We’re thinking soybeans this year on the river ground. I don’t remember what book of the Bible it was in, but it was something like: “We know not the hour nor the day, but only thy Father in Heaven. I think Jesus said it. But he knew the day and the hour of his death.

John 14:15-31 GNT
“If you love me, you will obey my commandments. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, who will stay with you forever.
Do you have that verse in your Bible?
