I have also known some who have had no such abuse and who always knew that they were homosexual, even from early childhood though they didn't know what it was then.
“The other thing that hit me a few years ago - Mary, the mother of Jesus, had His cells in her body. Meditate on that.”
That’s the most profound thing I’ve read so far in 2024. No sarcasm.
Thank you, Grampa Dave.
Interesting data!
You can’t “know from early childhood” that you are homosexual, a clown, rabbit, a coyote or anything else-the human memory and ability to make judgements based on sexuality or anything complicated beyond basic needs/emotions has not developed-a kid only becomes pretty much self aware, with a sense of themselves at 4-5. The brain isn’t there until then. It is not logical to think otherwise, based on the evidence...
The “they didn’t know what it was then” says it all, because they only knew after someone told them at a later date-either without realizing they were doing harm to that kid’s psyche, or intentionally, as a groomer. Kids lack discernment almost entirely-look it up if you doubt it-they can develop fixations and fears that are baseless but real to them if they are coached by an older individual whether with bad intent or not. That, too is a form of child abuse...
“ I will enjoy informing my ex that bits of my genetic material are still living inside her.”
Rent free,no doubt.
Isaiah 49:15
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?”

As a dad, I’m much more able to let go of my adult children. While I still pray for them and hope for the best, I don’t lay awake at night wondering if “Mr. Right” will come along for a daughter, etc.
My wife on the other hand....
And of course I should have realized that she had a MUCH closer bond with all of them.
Exactly............

You’re mistaken.
As I said, you have the right to your opinion, as I do-mine is based on 28+ years as a case manager in the private sector-workers comp/voc rehab, with a bit of personal experience as well-comp insurance is very lenient when it comes to paying for therapy for childhood or any other mental trauma when it will enhance voc rehab-but not the client falling back on I was born that way-it is a form of denial.
They two shall be one flesh.
I always thought of that as metaphorical.
Maybe not.
I suspect that the thyroid cells taken from the fetus reported by ToT did not destroy it, but were used to enable the mother to carry the baby to term. A very tiny amount of tissue could be removed from the fetus with needle aspiration without causing harm that could not be repaired as the fetus continued to grow.
Not long ago I Googled asking what percent of newborns had gender anomalies. The figure was as many as 2% with such measures as XXY, YYX, and other peculiarities, some of which are never noticed in the newborn child. Thus the immediately recognized features are far lower than this 2% figure. However as children mature, and hormone levels change, who knows what feelings may emerge. This is a field requiring a lot more research. Meanwhile if you feel extremely upset by the current surge in interest in this understudied branch of sexual science, consider the possibility that you have hormones that may be causing uncomfortable feelings and strong reactions to these stories. Then undertake to learn more with the help of Google and other searches. Don’t take out your feelings on families that are already dealing with upsetting feelings and information, or lack thereof.
However, I would strongly suggest that no surgeries on minors be considered unless serious laboratory analysis of the childs underlying sexual/hormonal status has been thoroughly examined. Also, serious evaluation of the long term effect of any surgeries or hormonal treatments should be done as well. Meanwhile, love the child and accept that they have these feelings, at least for the moment, until in depth medical and psychological evaluations have been done.
IIRC, the story was about a pregnant woman whose heart (or another organ?) was repaired by fetal cells that traveled outside the womb through her body. At first, doctors couldn’t understand how she’d spontaneously healed. Then, they discovered that her unborn baby had saved her life. The baby was carried to term. I think the story was posted on FR.
But, I guess I’m misremembering the details because we can only find articles that don’t point to a specific case.
