Rodgers criticized Kimmel on “The Pat McAfee Show,” saying, “There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are really hoping [the list of unsealed names] doesn’t come out,” adding, “If that list comes out, [I] definitely will be popping some sort of bottle.”
Kimmel responded to Rodgers on Tuesday, tweeting, “Dear (PROFANITY)[sic] : for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality.”
The late night host argued Rodgers’ “reckless words put my family in danger” and suggested he could take legal action, writing, “Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.”
More than 150 names of people with ties to Epstein are expected to be unsealed soon as part of a now-settled defamation lawsuit brought by alleged Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre against Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, which could include high profile names, such as former President Bill Clinton.
Kimmel has no reported ties to Epstein and while the unsealed documents could reveal explosive allegations, the list to be unsealed largely consists of names already reported in the media or in court—and for many others, the judge notes that the court filings involving them are “not salacious.”
Rodgers’ comments appear to be retaliating against Kimmel for a joke he made on his show in March, when Kimmel responded to Rodgers talking about UFOs and a previous list of Epstein-related names, calling the football player a “tinfoil hatter” and “whack packer” and suggesting Rodgers should “revisit the concussion protocol.”

Kimmel took a risk responding, because I think without his response it wouldn't have gotten much attention.
It was a joke! How fascinating to see the big state rally around one of their mouthpieces. Rogers said, wouldn’t it be funny if.... He used Kimmel tactics to ridicule the ridiculer.
Jimmy Kimmel fits the general archetype of a molester. As in I could see him cast in a movie as a molester. Beady eyes. Unkempt beard and mustache. Screechy voice. Physically weak.
He’d certainly convince me in any such role.
