Intentionally impregnating women and knowingly abandoning your children is about the most horrific act of selfishness a human can do. In a world full of apex predators who seek to mutilate, torture, rape, and murder, a father has a duty to protect his children with his life.

Even if fatherless children manage to avoid these things, they would likely be deprived of a loving father (or father figure) who provides for and guides his children through life.

I watched a documentary on Amazon Prime, “Filling in the Blanks”, that was about three Jewish brothers born at Mount Sinai hospital with different sperm donor fathers but their parents never told them.   It turns out that interns at the hospital had donated their sperm for untold hundreds of children in the 1950's going forward.
