France has handed over a second ship to Ukraine to help it with grain exports.

He noted that the ship had already been sent from Dunkirk. “(The ship) will help with grain exports to better supply the world with food. We are fully engaged, and our solidarity will not stop,” said Clément Beaune.
The attached photo shows a small boat, apparently intended for patrolling or escorting.
REMINDER:
-In December, Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian railway network) announced that it had built the first grain carrier adapted to the European gauge.
-The European Commission earlier promised to give Ukraine €50 million to repair its ports in the wake of Russian attacks in order to facilitate the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to the global market.

Russian Forces Take Heavily Fortified Town of Maryinka in Biggest Triumph Since Bakhmut
The year is ending on an upbeat note for the Russian Federation troops that have just conquered the heavily fortified town of Maryinka, in the outskirts of Donetsk city.
This is a major development, the biggest since Moscow troops regained the initiative, and also the greatest achievement since they gained control of Avdiivka (Bakhmut) in May.
By taking Maryinka, the Russians have significantly pushed back the Ukrainian artillery. For years, Kiev used Maryinka has a key launching pad for drone and artillery strikes against civilians in Donetsk.

It wasnt huge, but it was a useful logistics vessel, and it was obviously transporting munitions to Crimea, based on the large secondary explosions. This is a loss for Russia.
The more significant implication is that Ukraine has their reaction loop tight enough to hit a transient vessel in a Crimean port. And moreover, this was a ship designed to be quickly unloaded.
Thats going to have an effect on Russian logistics ongoing. Sebastopol has been hit hard enough to make it unusable for logistics operations, now we can anticipate the same for Feodosia and Kerch.

Neither side was fully implementing Minsk, and it was the Russian separatists in the Donbas, aided by Russian military equipment and advisors, who simply abandoned that ceasefire altogether and attacked in January 2015. In addition, the Minsk agreements were in late 2014 and 2015, AFTER Russia invaded in early 2014. Ukraine’s Orange revolution was in 2004-2005, LONG before Minsk. Finally, the Revolution of Dignity (called Maidan, not a color revolution, doofus) was in January and February, which resulted in Russians invasion and annexation of Crimea.

The Minsk agreement required the Donetsk guys and the Russians to let Ukrainian forces reoccupy the Luhansk/Donetsk borders with Russia. That was never going to happen. It was a fiction from the start.
