Culture killed the mall. Patrons no longer feel safe.

Yup. Too many feral teens.

I am not going out to shop in crap weather. I will if i can stay warm and dry.

I think the opposite is true for a lot of people. The enclosed malls in my area have shriveled up and just about died (except for one that is still above average). Yet the outdoor outlet malls seem to be doing great. I think the reason is that the feral yuths don’t like being outside.

The merchants at the formerly “Sears end” (now Casino end) are being squeezed out.

Word is that the Casino would like to undertake a massive expansion.

“Culture killed the mall. Patrons no longer feel safe.”

No, we can thank Leftist judges who declared that malls are ‘Public Spaces’ and thus PROHIBITED mall owners from keeping out people who ‘look like America’.

People on our side who keep trying to ‘send the GOP a message’ by sitting out elections because so and so Republican on the November ballot is a RINO, are actually EMPOWERING Democrats to install Leftist judges - so they can look in a mirror as to why they no longer feel safe going to the malls in the US, when malls in the rest of the free world are still perfectly safe.

“Dr. Evil Jeff Bezos of Amazon was the doom of the mall.”

More of a coincidence in timing. All other developed countries have thriving malls, and most have Amazon and other on-line ways to buy stuff. The problem is that we empowered Leftist judges to turn our malls into Gangland territories, while the rest of world won’t stand for that.

Most malls from my past have closed down over the decades. However it’s @ a 20 minute drive to 12 Oaks Mall in Novi, MI.
Still a nice place for Christmas Shopping.
Do a little shopping, have a drink, a little more shopping…….😉

Indoor malls have been replaced with large strip malls that still attract shoppers where there is no indoor area for “teens” to hang out and cause trouble.

pretty much any of the malls left look like third world bazaars with roving bands of illegals and fat mexican women in spandex with 6 kids.

I went to the mall Friday night. It was jammed, and it was hard to park. The death of the mall has been greatly exaggerated.

The malls the white people go to.

There's not too many of them left. But the "white" malls are thriving.

Thanks! Amazon made a huge difference, but many of those indoor malls were already being replaced by big box stores by the time Amazon hit their stride.

Amazon has been displacing mainly the big box stores that were built since the 1990s.

But a shrinking middle class, the rise of online shopping, and the fact that there were simply too many malls contributed to the decline of the American mall.

Those may have contributed to a degree but there is a bigger factor the lamestream media simply will not report.

Black males started making the malls unsafe. When customers don't feel safe they stop going there.

Lenox mall in the ATL is suffering the same fate for the same reasons.

I agree with you.
But what these so called people don’t realize is that there are people down ballot that need our support.
You can vote third party for the candidates that you can’t support.
And contrary to popular belief, a vote for a third party candidate is not a vote for the democommie.
It’s a vote for the third party candidate.

In a different vein my area is seeing an explosion of Indians. They are demanding US businesses do things their way.

I am also hearing anecdotal reports of Indians attempting to take over HOAs and prohibiting Christmas decorations to diwali can be elevated.

They were also moving grandma to a house and putting it in her name to avoid paying school taxes....even though kids were living in the house. That got busted though.

It might be that the “mall owner” made the mistake of incorporating a bus stop.

When I worked in retail development decades ago, we well knew bus-stops brought in shoplifters, car thieves, and gang members, and resisted having them. Governments and their “planners” leverage power over site plan approvals and building permits to extort bus-stops (usually fancy and at the owners’ expense) and other communist desiderata.

“And contrary to popular belief, a vote for a third party candidate is not a vote for the democommie.
It’s a vote for the third party candidate.”

Only if the third party has a chance at winning, and that is almost always known prior to voting.

Otherwise it is, mathematically, a half-vote for the Democrat.

The common area expenses for that type of all arrangement would be enormous. Your monthly condo fees would probably be higher than your mortgage payment.
