There have been at least 19 separate instances in which airplanes nearly smashed into one another in the first 10 months of the year, according to a shocking report.
The staggering number of near-misses between January and October marks a dramatic increase in narrowly averted airline crashes — the most since 2016, according to Federal Aviation Administration data viewed by the Wall Street Journal.
The total number for the year is not yet known, but is expected to continue to climb.

Maybe the FAA needs to rethink its Diversity equity and inclusion policies.
The chickens of affirmative action have come home to roost.
I have been driving lately. Delays..our flight from Tulsa was delayed as we lacked 1 person to be part of a flight crew. When she came strolling down swaggering with a ‘so what’ smile, all of the passengers, the other crew members did not how to respond. They won’t be able to fire her, the tone of her skin, is of a nature that makes it impossible to discipline her. American Airlines never got back to me when I complained. Way to go Sec’y PETE. Keep the quotas, don’t pursue excellence, discipline and strict order.
Wondering...

Unfortunately, I do not think this will change anytime soon. I can’t prove it, but I am pretty sure, the scum bags in charge, gladly compromise public safety, and don’t bat an eye. They will never admit it, of course. I sure hate bureaucrats.

During 0bama’s second term, military and CTI credits were removed and diversity points were added. Schools dropped the CTI programs and here we are.

The sad part is when people die any claims that it was due to DEI will be labeled disinformation or unproven. Our country is becoming increasingly built upon lies.
“Diversity everywhere?
Cockpit, Maintenance, Control Towers...”
Perhaps.
It seems Miami has stopped many drunk commercial pilots from getting aboard. What to do with Marijuana-impaired pilots (and air traffic controllers) remains to be seen...
