The uber wealthy throughout history have often had separate bedchambers and some of my best sleep has occurred in the guest room.
To: DallasBiff
Nuts. Lots of people still sleep, a lot of the time, in separate rooms; especially when they get older and have health issues/different needs.

My one and only and I sleep in separate bedrooms, because I snore and talk in my sleep. Seems fair enough.

It’s your house, do what you want. Do I really need to know?
To: DallasBiff
I can understand it. I snore like a chainsaw. It used to bother my ex. My sister and BIL sleep in separate bedrooms for the same reason. Something like 20-25% of couples sleep in separate bedrooms for that reason. It doesn’t mean there is necessarily a lack of intimacy between the couple.

My father built himself a separate house that he would stay at when the mood hit him, it was in a very scenic setting and only about a mile or 2 from his regular house.
The kids weren’t allowed there and wife number 6 was only allowed by invitation.

I toss and turn all night and would drive my wife crazy if we slept in the same bedroom.

I know plenty of couple who, at one time or another, sleep in different rooms.
Unlike a lot of folks in the world, I only care what happens in my bedroom. The rest of yβall can do whatever floats your boats.

That isn’t my sleeping arrangement but, if it were, I would need for society’s support of that? I don’t think so.
I wonder what her position is on some of the other crucial issues of the times, such as folding the TP instead of wadding it up.

Since an extra bedroom results in some 200 to 400 extra square feet of living space (not all being part of the bedroom), including the cost of building that space and conditioning that space, her proposal can only lead to more poverty and homelessness.
Which leads to the reasonable to reasonable question of:
Why Does Cameron Diaz HATE the Poor and Middle Class so much as to want to throw them into Homelessness?
(this is how a liberal responds, and it WORKS, really well, against our side)

Not anything wrong with that in my opinion. Maybe whilst creating a family, which is what we did, then after a couple decades got smart and did the separate bedrooms when we were sick. It kinda stuck and were both sleeping better now.
