Taylor Swift attends Anti-Israeli fundraiser for Gaza...............
You’ve got it.
She isn’t that young. She is in her thirties.
Then there’s this......
“Swift has previously encouraged her fans to register to vote, though for years she shied away from political endorsements. That changed in 2018, when she weighed in on the Tennessee congressional races in favor of the Democratic candidates. (Her appeal this week was nonpartisan.)”
A Taylor Swift Instagram post helped drive a surge in voter registration

“There are even stories that have come out recently that Michael’s father had him chemically castrated when he was a child to keep his voice from changing. There have been stories for years that Michael and the rest of the Jackson’s were abused by the father. That is what most likely turned him into a drug addict.”
His father was awful but what I find interesting is that he was a steel worker in Gary Indiana and had 8 children with his wife. Any on the side?
His father was part American Indian, and one mean ol son of a B. He drove his children like mules in their music careers.
She’s middle aged at 34. Old enough to know better but once an airhead, always an airhead.
Her (just HER) estimated earnings from that tour was over $4 BILLION.. and I don’t think that includes the earnings from the movie they made of it.
Whether you like her music or not, there is just no way you can look at her career and conclude, as some have done on this thread that she is a dumb bimbo.
Yes her dad transferred to Nashville to help support her desire to be a professional musician/singer. She is talented, she is not some floozy in a skimpy school girl outfit playing a role for the lecherous old men and relying on Autotune to carry her. She did get the benefits of having successful parent who supported and were able to support her dreams and desires... no doubt. Maybe that is why she is more grounded that many who have had her kind of success in the industry, I don’t know.
What I do know it that there is just no way objectively you can claim she’s a no talent hack or a bimbo, whether you like her music or not. There is also no way you can make the argument that she is a self absorbed diva.
There are plenty of low to no talent hacks in pop music, no doubt... and no most of Taylors newer stuff, like nearly all pop music I would rather not listen to, but there is just no way you can conclude she is just some bimbo... its just not possible to get there.
I wish I could play my acoustic 1/5 as well as she is able to make her’s sing.
Her, a guitar and a microphone.. whether you like her music or not, trying to portray her as a bimbo and a no talent hack is just ignorant.
Has miss Swift ever been photographed without excessive makeup that includes fake eyelashes, and half a stick of bright red lipstick on and around her lips?
Too bad the football player took the jab.
1% of total GDP is nothing to make fun of.
I have never seen anything like it. I saw four women in my office between the age of 23 and 40(she took her teenage daughter) spend thousands of dollars to go to this concert at Gillette. Every hotel in the Boston area was sold out. The Amtrak train ride from South Boston to Foxborough, MA was sold out and being scalped for triple. The parking passes were being scalped for 2-4X face value. That is before any of them bought any merchandise at the show.
It is absolutely crazy the amount of revenue that this Eras tour generated. It was like having a Superbowl at every major city the tour visited. Probably more than the SB because there were multiple show dates in every city. Plus the MOVIE of the tour. Some of the stupid women in my office went to that too.
You may not like the Woman’s music, but if you think she is an airhead, you’re kind of showing how little you know, not her.
How anyone can condone decapitating babies is beyond disgusting and monstrous.
It's quite sad, really.
And then these people will complain when the credit card bills come due and they can’t pay for them, that the Government isn’t doing enough to help them.
**By and large she has stayed out of politics**
I don’t recall where I read it, but I do believe she has publicly voiced her approval of unborn baby murder and of the alphabet scourge.
THen there is what?
She made an endorsement in a race in 2018? Oh no, run away...
What exactly do you think this proves?
Ms Swift has spoken about here politics when asked in interviews before, however having ones politics and shoving ones politics on others are not the same thing.
For someone with as much fame and followers as she has, she has, as I said, largely stayed out of politics... I am not sure how you think 1 endorsement in 20 years counters what I have said.
She has voiced her politics when asked in interviews, over the years, but she is not out there hounding her followers to vote one way or another, in fact, I believe over 20 years she gave 1 congressional endorsement for someone who I believe was a family friend... she isn’t out there using her concerts to bash or push one political idea or person over another.
LARGELY STAYED OUT OF POLITICS does not mean she has never voiced a political opinion.
I went to a Jackson Brown Concert last year, and got to enjoy the man making sure the entire audience knew his political opinions on everything... SHUT UP AND SING...
Everyone has their political viewpoints, having them and pushing them are not the same.
Why, didn’t you ever go to see concerts in your youth?
I certainly did. I still have ticket stubs from probably 30 of them. The last one I saw was Robert Cray in Lexington, MA last spring. The biggest I ever saw was The Clash opening up for The Who at Rich Stadium(80M sell out). The only one I regret not seeing was the Rolling Stones Tatoo You Tour in 1981 at the Carrier Dome.
If she really did go full pro-Palestinian, then any parent worth their salt should immediately ban Taylor Swift’s music from being played in their house.
Of course, with the way kids are nowadays, these heartbroken, little darlings will probably call their state’s DSHS office and say they’re being abused and that they should come and arrest their parents for child abuse.
**Her (just HER) estimated earnings from that tour was over $4 BILLION**
4 billion or 4 cents, it doesn’t matter to the Almighty. Just like everyone else, she will take nothing out when her time comes. Then cometh the judgment.
Is she encouraging girls to wait until marriage for sex?
That would cost her a few bucks of popularity I suspect.
Again do some research, she isn’t remaking them because she has been reinspired, she did it because the rights to her original records were sold to a man she despises... leaving her without control of her music... She was attempting to buy the rights as well.
Rather than be captive to that she opted to re-record them, returning the rights and not only that but the royalties as well to her.
Radio plays original record version, a man you despise gets a cut.. they pay your version they get nothing. Newer fans will also know the history so when they go out and build out their collection they will make sure to buy the new releases not the old, further cutting out someone whom you despise.
I say good for her.. it is insane that a artist can be beholden to someone who had nothing to do with their music and have to beg for permission to perform it etc.
Fortunately for her she’s put herself in a place where she absolutely could give these folks the big middle finger.. so good for her as far as I’m concerned.
As for you trying to argue it was just about her making more money...
The estimated earnings that Ms Swift made from her last tour (just her earnings) are over $4 Billion dollars, and I am pretty sure that doesn’t include the profits from the movie made from the tour either.
I highly doubt, that the attempt that she is re-recording her previous records to make some more scratch is holding much water. Her re-recorded album might sell 3-4 Million copies... certainly A decent amount of money, but I really don’t the need for a few 10s of millions more are why she did it.
Bryan Adams on the other hand, hasn’t charged a song since the mid 90s... so anything he can do to try to get some nostalgia and relevance is certainly going to be a direct boon to his wallet.
Trying to compare the 2 is a bit delusional.
**Why, didn’t you ever go to see concerts in your youth?**
Some men just want to do real manly things. My dad was a master horseman, farmer, pilot, and father figure. I liked a lot of music back in my youth, but spent very little on it. My money went to pilot ratings, and things like my Mustang Mach 1, then my Corvette.
My view of musicians was: I’ll listen to you while I do what matter more to me. The girls I dated that were concert groupies seemed shallow. My wife won me with fabulous looks and personality, and also her unwillingness to praise entertainers for being entertainers (her dad was a manly man, which is an understatement. He also got the DFC in WW2. A gunner, his B-24 crewmates claimed his aim was superhuman).
