Gypsies. Why did it have to be gypsies? No matter. First the left coast liberal trash invaded. Then came the beggars. Now, gypsies.
OK liberals wanted Tulsa to be like other big cities. I guess they got their wish.
I suspect that virtually all of the ‘homeless’ are fakes where I live too. I specifically remember the “Will work for food” scam that literally popped over OVERNIGHT throughout the country decades ago, as I traveled a lot, and within a month I saw the same sign in 6 different cities.
But keep ‘giving’ people, they need your type.
I can see why they threw them out of Romania.
Let's just say that they wear out their welcome and goodwill real quick.
Does anyone know what “soliciting without a vest” means? Apparently, you need to be wearing a vest to solicit money in Tulsa?
I really don’t see the wasting of our time over these doing doings. Fretting over somebody stupid.
The angst be better spent going after the fraud wrought government prescribed gifting deserved program’s takings and stealings from of our tax monies that we don’t so freely give.
The one I saw do the best was a guy who was holding up a sign that said...
“I’m not going to lie, I need a beer!”
There was a four car line to hand him money out their window.
I treat all panhandlers like there’s a scam like that going on. I.e, they never get money from me.
Simply put, I never gave someone money unless I personally know their story.
I’ve seen some homeless young women holding up a sign saying they’re pregnant and need money. I recall one girl holding such a sign up, off and on for over two years. I never believed her or gave her money. Her “baby bump” seemed to move all over her torso. I certainly was not going to roll my window down and ask her about it.
The gypsies have invaded my little town. The same scams that I saw when I lived in Europe. Dirty kids running around distracting people while the older kids pickpockets. The parents begging on street corners with the usual, “feed my hungry kids” signs day after day after day. The winter must have sent them down to Tulsa.
Recently saw another guy at an intersection who appeared to be middle eastern.
Andy, Opie, Barney, chicken, apple pies, and Mr. Game-leg.
Better hope they do not decide to fight it because, according to the SCOTUS, panhandling is speech and putting restrictions on it is legally very delicate.
They are likely part of a very organized group of beggars who set up shop at intersections and entrances/exits to places like Walmart.
Usually one pitifully dressed man with a sign and within sight distance, the wife and kids sitting on a blanket or something. What you don’t see is the nice van they have parked away from there. They pick a ‘circuit’ of places to go beg at and they make a pretty good living from it.
These funeral (or “needs an operation”) scammers are all over my area.
Yep!
