CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Why were the chickens all over the road? That's a question many Chattanooga drivers were faced with on Rossville Boulevard Monday morning.
Those live chicken apparently fell off of a truck transporting them. But right now, it's still unclear exactly what happened, but we're working to learn more.

Jessica White of Jasper says she pulled out her camera as she approached an unusual sight: dozens of chickens, some of them still living, all over the road. Some drivers slowed down to let the chickens cross the road. Others didn't.

I mean, it was just nuts,' White told us on Tuesday. 'It was obvious that there was a truck that they must have fell out over something, you know, but it was, it was shocking to see that's for sure. White's video shows the chickens were spread across at least a city block.

A representative for the McKamey Animal Center tells us that one of their animal protection officers responded to find around twenty dead chickens. They called the city's Public Works Department to remove the carcasses from the road.
White tells us she never saw a chicken truck when she drove past.

Right now we're still working to learn what company was transporting these chickens and how they came to fall off the truck.
We also are working to learn what happened to the chickens that fell off the truck and survived the ordeal.
Only the ones that haven't already converted over to Bug Processing!

Somebody alert Gus Fring. It’s a sad day for los Pollos Hermanos.
Now you’re getting to the meat of the matter.
How can you be in two places at once when you’re not anywhere at all?
Memories of Firesign Theater.
I had several Firesign Theatre albums pretty much memorized back in the day.
At least they didn’t try to glue themselves to the ground with McGriddle syrup… 🙄
Lord, I love these FR threads!
The chickens have come home - to roost.

DO NOT EVER try to tangle with a Peacock.
There is a reason people use them as sentries!
A passerby commented on the scene of the hens on the asphalt: “Times are tough, but it’s not the time to revert to tar and feathers”.
You win the entire Internet highway with that simple, keen observation.
That's *exactly* what time it is... it's a veritable sign on the street, a street sign pointing the way!
More proof why Romulus killed Rebus -- Rebus had the real intel on the ground.
Heh, funny weird too that the road is Rt. 27. Hebrew has 27 letter forms (22 + 5 that have a different form when at the end of a word).
Usually these final shapes are included in the letter charts along with their regular forms, meaning if you count the letters, tav (the 22nd letter) is last as the 27th.
tav: "mark, sign". Kind of like "X" marks the spot.
(A long way of saying that the cluck stops here.)
