I know nostalgia.
#19 was Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever".

Great list! They are almost all familiar.

I don’t think the author knows what a One Hit Wonder is.
Most of the artists on his list had plenty of hit songs.

...and nearly every song was better than 99% of the garbage being put out today.

Some of these artists weren't really one hit wonders (i.e. The Knack had another with Good Girls Don't) and some were bigger in the UK than in the US.

Elvin Bishop is a beast. Wrote a lot of songs. Badass guitar player.

25. “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” by Elvin Bishop was actually sung by Mickey Thomas, who would go one to be the lead singer for the 1980s Starship, with hits like “We Built This City”, “Sara” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”.

Didn't get a mention but my favorite would be Gilbert O'Sullivan's "Alone Again Naturally". The most upbeat heartbreakingly tragic song ever composed. And only an Irishman could pen lyrics whose meter make absolutely no sense as written, but only in the context of the music.

Play that funky music, white boy. One of the best dance songs ever.

I looked at the list and I don’t consider performers like Randy Newman and Charlie Pride to be “one hit wonders.” One of my all-time favorite one hit wonder songs was “Walk Away Renee,” by The Left Banke in 1966.

“The Boys Are Back In Town” by Thin Lizzy
Thin Lizzy were not a one hit wonder.

Except Ted had other hits so not sure why it is on one hit wonders.

The Knack was not a One-Hit Wonder. “Good Girls Don’t” went to #11.

Confused about ‘one hit wonders’. I think of someone who came out of nowhere, had a hit song, and then faded away. Lynn Anderson? Charley Pride? They had a lot of top 10 songs and long careers.

The Rapper - The Jaggerz
Lead singer was Donnie Iris, who went on to have a hit later with “Ah, Leah”.
