I hope this Thanksgiving brings to mind many blessings our Lord has bestowed on us, chiefly the unveiling of Jesus Christ as Lord of all; above all circumstances this sinful world throws at us.
So say goodbye to those who suffer from tinnitus! I began taking Omega-3s to deal with bad cholesterol......and in ONE WEEK, tinnitus disappeared. No more annoying ringing in the ears. Gone.
I get a high-quality plant-based Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids (EFA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) The product brand is from "Meta Genetics" and the company is from Standard Process. They do not sell directly, but once you establish an account with your naturopathic/holistic practitioner, you can order whatever you need.
My dosage is 4 soft gels, twice a day. Each soft gel has 180mg EFA and 120mg DHA.
Here are the benefits from EFA and DHA (there are a ton of benefits): https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/17-health-benefits-of-omega-3#TOC_TITLE_HDR_18 https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/dha-benefits
I hope this helps, God bless!
I have bad tinnitus myself which apparently is due to neuroinflammation.

I have trouble swallowing those large fish oil tablets and can never manage to get down more than a couple a day which isn’t sufficient. I’m currently looking into something called specialized pro-resolving mediators which are enzymatically derived from essential fatty acids (like fish or krill oil). Think of it as being a super concentrate of these oils.
Specialized pro-resolving mediators: endogenous regulators of infection and inflammation

But they are expensive as hell like $75 a bottle. The cheap ones Life extension sells for ~ $20 can’t possibly be the real thing at that price so I wouldn’t recommend. But it’s suppose to act powerfully to quell inflammation. Should be helpful for other inflammatory conditions too like arthritis, MS, ect. Metagenics is one brand.
Mine disappeared a short while after I started taking 220mg of Zinc Sulfate daily for COVID-19 prophylactics 3 years ago.
Yup already take selenium as well as a slew of other antioxidants. I spend a small fortune on supplements every month. ;)
“I have this eternal high pitched EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE sound like a dentists drill. At first it drove me crazy, I tried every trick imaginable then I found a video on Youtube that showed a way to meditate and convince my brain to ignore it like you would ignore all other extraneous sounds and it’s been no problem ever since. Of course it is still there but I just don’t care about it anymore.”
About 3 weeks ago my easily-ignored, low-level tinnitus suddenly spiked (in my right ear only) and I’ve been doing a lot of on-line research. It seems that, except in the fairly rare cases where there’s a fixable physical cause, the best approach is to enable your brain to develop a filter for the tinnitus - so it suppresses your awareness of it just like it already does with many other external noise sources (that we aren’t aware of because of that phenomenon).
An ENT doc (who successfully treated his tinnitus) said his theory is that when the noise first appears, it’s new so your brain thinks it might be important, and thinking about it reinforces that neural feedback loop - so his approach was to employ various distractions until his brain became convinced it wasn’t an important sound (like it does with traffic noise, etc.). In his case, it took about 6 months of incremental changes (with occasional regression) before he stopped being aware of it.
“I started taking Vascepa (which is a prescription grade fish oil) and I can say that my tinnitus (Which I think is blood vessel related) has been reduced significantly.”
There’s an OTC version (.5 G EPA/gel) called Omegavia.
Me too!
Happy Thanksgiving
RE: I take whiskey for my tinnitus. It doesn’t cure it but I don’t care for awhile.
Rat Pack routine.
Dean: You know, Frank I only drink to forget.
Frank: What are you trying to forget?
Dean: I don’t know. I forgot a long time ago.
I’ve been taking plant-based Omega-3 EFA and DHA for years. Still have tinnitus.
Bump
Bump
I have identified at least four different crickets living in my head.
I have made friends with three of them and am working on the fourth.
Unfortunately they all sing at once.
Thanks, very kind!
Dean: “Get your hand off my drink!”
Frank: “That’s your hand.”
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Lol - I am working on that approach. If not that, then at least regarding them as inconsequential acquaintances.
Contact Standard Process they can recommend someone in your area
Yes! I think that’s what happened with me although I didn’t know that part how the brain responds. I just kept meditating and telling myself “it’s not a real sound, it’s not a real sound” and I did that over and over every day, I forget how long, enough where eventually I got tired of doing it and one day I realized I no longer paid attention to it.
A cure would be nice though because in really quiet areas it’s LOUD and hard to ignore. I’m also deaf to high frequencies in that ear. For example I can hear crickets at night chirping from my right ear but in my left I can’t at all.
Too much buzzing. I can’t hear you.
Your ENT doc may be on to something. I hadn’t noticed my long-term tinnitus for three or four months. Since reading this thread, it has returned!
Maybe I’ll try Bonemaker’s remedy this time around.
