Four of the Nevada 'bullies' arrested over the horrific mass attack which killed 17-year-old Jonathan Lewis Jr could barely conceal their fear as they appeared in court on murder charges.
Dontral Beaver, 16, Damien Hernandez, 17, Gianni Robinson, 17, and Treavion Randolph, 16, are among eight schoolmates accused of beating Lewis to death outside Rancho High School in Las Vegas on November 1.
Cowed, cuffed, and being tried as adults, the four teens mumbled their replies as they stood before Judge Nadia Wood at the start of a trial which could see them jailed for life.
Lewis died in hospital from brain injuries six days after he was leapt on by up to 15 attackers after reportedly standing up for a smaller classmate who had his headphones stolen and was dumped in a trash can.
Robinson appeared to be shaking and glanced nervously at camera as he realized he was being filmed, while Hernandez nodded respectfully when asked if he understood the charges against him.

One can hope, but you’re right they’ll probably get a slap on the wrist because everyone know that if you’re killed by someone under 18 you’re not as dead as if you were killed by an older person. It would be a great deterrent to at least some future “juvenile” scumbags to watch these four executed live on TV. Watch them cry for their mommas as they were being put to death. Then maybe they wouldn’t think (and rightly so) that they could get away with everything.
I doubt he was a naïve kid. He didn’t seem like the type who backed down from a fight. He looked tall and strong, and in the video, he threw the first punch. But, then he was swarmed and stomped to death. Two kids tried to pull the others off him to no avail.

Take them on a fishing trip halfway to the Bahamas toss all five overboard with only two life jackets and tell them to swim east to the Bahamas or west to Florida and if they made it their sentence would be reduced to time served.

I don’t care as much that they are scared. They are gone. I want all of the others at school and those at other schools to be scared. To effect that, we need some serious time. Murder 2 is eligible for parole after 10 years in Nevada.

Within the last month, several other Black teens who are charged with murder (car jacking, I think, possibly also in Las Vegas) were filmed laughing and smirking during a court hearing.
The smirkers got some seriously bad press.
Regardless, all of them know they might be released when they turn 18, or that their adult sentences might be converted to very strict parole after a couple years in adult prison.

There were, but apparently not all participated and some allegedly tried to pull (unsuccessfully)the main criminals off the kid.
Nevada prisons are NOT country clubs.

They won’t get the needle. If they get convictions the will come out of prison bigger, meaner and more dangerous. They have a lifetime ahead of them of shortening other’s lives.
The needle was wishful thinking on my part. I’m sure your forecast of their behavior is spot on. On the bright side they’ll probably get killed sooner rather than later either by an armed victim or another one of their thug friends.
