“Be sure to remain weather aware this week and check weather.gov for local forecasts before traveling,” the service added.

South Jersey here. We are getting heavy rain, but clearing on Thanksgiving Day.
Back in the 80’s we got 8 inches of snow on Thanksgiving Eve. In South Jersey so we really were not prepared for it. All the high school rivalry games got cancelled.
Our biggest “fear porn” in So Cal is massive traffic jams for the holiday weekend - that have already started.
Glad I’m staying home for Thanksgiving this year!
I don’t travel on the holidays anymore, so bring it on.
Supposedly 54 and Sunny for T-day in Cincy. Lots of rain last night but ending in about an hour. Can’t wait for Football Thursday with a side of Turkey n fixins.

OMG! Now globull warming is causing storms for the holiday. As a countermeasure I think all should go out and get a couple extra covid boosters and put a down payment on an EV.
Amazing, it snows in the Winter and the media acts like it's the first time it has ever happened.
The turkey day blizzard of 1971 took millions by surprise. It occurred nearly a month before the start of winter, and is still a Thanksgiving snowstorm for the record books in upstate New York state and adjacent locales.
Snow started falling on November 24, the day before Thanksgiving, and the flakes were still flying the next day. Albany, a city that’s no stranger to snow, got a whopping 22.5 inches. The National Weather Service still ranks the 1971 blizzard as the greatest November snowstorm on record for the Albany area.
Unseasonably warm the past few weeks in the Peoples Republic of Minnesota, but we all know what is coming …cold and snow. Hey, it’s winter folks and it this hemisphere it gets cold and often snows. Stop the panic, get out your warm coat, gloves and snow shovels just like every year.
