A report for this day. First of all, our warriors. Today, the intelligence service, the Commander-in-Chief, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Minister of Defense reported on the conference call. The overall situation at the front, particular directions. Ammunition, equipment – everything for the front. Avdiivka, Kupyansk, Bakhmut. Also the southern directions. Russian assaults are very intense, especially in Donetsk region.
We have to realize that Putin has a very cynical and specific political goal right now, and he is willing to kill as many of his people as he needs to because he wants to show at least some tactical results in the first half of December. That’s when he plans to announce his elections. Russia is already losing soldiers and equipment near Avdiivka faster and on a larger scale than, for example, near Bakhmut. It is extremely difficult to withstand this onslaught. And each of our warriors holding the positions, each of our warriors performing combat missions there deserves our utmost gratitude. They are true heroes!
The more Russian forces are destroyed near Avdiivka now, the worse the overall situation and the overall course of this war will be for the enemy.
I would like to particularly recognize the warriors of the 53rd and 110th separate mechanized brigades and the artillerymen of the 55th separate artillery brigade. All of them are fighting in the Avdiivka sector and have provided Ukraine with the best results these days. Thank you, warriors!
I would also like to recognize the brigades fighting in other areas that deserve our gratitude. This is the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade, whose warriors are defending the Kupyansk direction. They are very powerful. Thank you! My gratitude also goes to the 68th separate jaeger brigade in the Lyman sector. Well done, guys! And, of course, the Bakhmut sector. The artillery of the 26th brigade, the 92nd separate assault brigade and the 30th separate mechanized brigade. I thank you all, warriors!
We continue to work with our partners, especially in the United States, to ensure that support for Ukraine is maintained at the level that is needed now. I am grateful to our partners for their understanding of Ukraine’s needs.
These days, the Ukrainian delegation is in Washington. First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, Head of the Office Andriy Yermak, representatives of the Ministry of Justice and our teams are advocating, among other things, for stronger sanctions against Russia and the use of Russia’s frozen assets to support our country.
Important meetings took place: the U.S. Secretary of State and his team, national security advisors to the President of the United States and the leaders of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, representatives of American civil society, and heads of international financial and development institutions. We are preparing for the next year.
It will not be easy. We are aware of this. But we are doing everything to ensure that Ukraine’s position remains solid. And in the coming weeks, respective work with European and other partners is planned.
A few more things.
Today, I will highlight the work of our entire team and those who helped to rescue Ukrainian citizens from the Gaza Strip. This is a very, very complex, sensitive, multi-level operation. More than 200 people have been rescued. We are preparing the next groups for evacuation.
I want to thank everyone. I thank the Egyptian and Israeli authorities, Ukrainian diplomats who are involved and effective, SkyUp, which has been very helpful, and I would also like to personally thank Rabbi Jonathan Markovitch. And, of course, the officers of the Main Intelligence Directorate, who are performing the relevant tasks on the ground and here in Ukraine. Thank you all very, very much!
Ukraine’s success in such operations once again demonstrates to the world how much our country values its citizens, wherever they are, and how effective our state institutions are.
Today, I also held a meeting with international relations experts and government officials to prepare for the second summit of our globally important humanitarian initiative “Grain from Ukraine”. Ukraine not only maintains its role as a guarantor of global food security. Our maritime exports through the new corridor have already reached almost 4 million tons of cargo. But we also remember that we can contribute to greater stability in the world by helping with food supplies to those in need. In particular, in Africa.
We are uniting our partners around this humanitarian initiative. More news to come soon.
And today I met with journalists from Africa - a large group... 11 countries of the continent, different parts of Africa, leading media. I thank you for your attention to Ukraine and I believe that the world majority will always be with Ukraine in its defense against aggression and in the defense of international law.

The world is marking the International Day Against Fascism and Antisemitism on Nov. 9, commemorating Kristallnacht (Crystal Night) in 1938, the first mass violent action against Jews coordinated by the Third Reich.
On this occasion, NV recalls how dictator Vladimir Putin’s Russia has built an ideology very similar to fascism and how the term “Ruscism” [Russian fascism] has already entered our vocabulary.
In May 2023, the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, passed a resolution that recognizes the political regime in Russia as Ruscism and condemns its ideological foundations and social practices.
The Ukrainian parliament recognized the mass and systematic violation of human rights in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine as signs of the Ruscism’s ideology, as well as the persecution of citizens for the slightest manifestations of dissent, which in modern Russia are interpreted exclusively as a betrayal of “national interests.”

Day 629 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.
During the day of November 14, there were 57 combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 4 missile and 42 air strikes, 26 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
VOLYN and PPLISSYA AXIS: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.
SIVERSHCHYNA and SLOBOZHANSHCHYNA AXIS: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 15 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Klyusy, Senkivka, Hremyach (Chernihiv oblast), Volfyne, Veselivka, Turya (Sumy oblast), Veterynarne, Starytsya, Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).
KUPYANSK AXIS: the enemy conducted assault operations in the vicinities of Synkivka, Petropavlivka (Kharkiv oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 attacks in the area. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Vilshana and Cherneshchyna (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at the settlements of Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).
LYMAB AXIS: the adversary made failed assaults near Nadiya and Serebryanske forestry (Luhansk oblast). The invaders launched air strikes near Pishchane (Luhansk oblast), and Serebryanka, Siversk, Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Yampolivka, Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).
BAKHMUT AXIS: the invaders conducted assault operations in the vicinities of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka (Donetsk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks. The occupiers launched an air strike near Klishchiyivka. The settlements of Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka (Donetsk oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire.
AVDIYIVK AXIS: the enemy conducted failed assault operations in the vicinities of Avdiyivka, Sjeverne, Tonenke, Vodyane and east of Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast), where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 15 attacks. The occupiers launched air strikes near Novokalynove, Lastochkyne and Avdiyivka. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Keramik, Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiyivka, Sjeverne, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast).
MARYINKA AXIS: the adversary made unsuccessful assaults with air support in the vicinities of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 attacks. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Heorhiyivka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, Antonivka (Donetsk oblast) were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
SHAKHTARSKE AXIS: the invaders conducted assault operations near Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast), to no success. Also, the adversary launched an air strike near Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
ZAPORIZHZHIA AXIS: the occupiers launched an air strike near Novodarivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 25 settlements, including Robotyne, Orikhiv, Novoandriyivka, Pyatykhatky, Lobkove, Plavni (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
KHERSON AXIS: the invaders launched air strikes near the settlements of Novoberyslav and Beryslav (Kherson oblast). The settlement of Osokorivka, Shlyakhove, Beryslav, Olhivka (Kherson oblast) and the city of Kherson suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on Melitopol axis and offensive (assault) operations on Bakhmut axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.
During the day of November 14, Ukrainian Air Force launched 10 air strikes on concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers. Ukrainian air defense also destroyed 2 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs and 1 Kh-59 air-launched cruise missile.
The Ukrainian missile troops hit 6 concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1 command post, 17 artillery systems, 3 air defense systems, and 1 fuel depot of the russian invaders.

During a working visit to the United States as part of the Ukrainian delegation headed by First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak met with representatives of American expert circles and opinion leaders.
The meeting was attended by William Taylor, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Vice President for Europe and Russia at the United States Institute of Peace; John Herbst, Director of the Eurasia Center at the Atlantic Council and former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine; Jonathan Katz, Senior Director at the Brookings Institution for Anti-Corruption, Democracy and Security; and other leading experts.
Andriy Yermak noted that the experts present at the meeting are committed to supporting Ukraine because they understand the aspirations of Ukrainians for freedom and democracy and are well aware of all the threats posed by Russia and other aggressors to Europe, the United States and the entire world order.
He added that Ukrainian and American experts share a common view of the threatening trends of today.
“Autocracies have already united and started an undeclared world war. Russia, Iran and North Korea have deliberately supported Hamas to ignite the Middle East. The goal is chaos and the consistent weakening of democracies,” the Head of the Office of the President noted.
The parties discussed ways to step up efforts to accelerate Ukraine’s victory and strengthen democratic forces in the world.
During a frank and productive conversation, it was noted that the most important weapon in countering aggression is unity both within countries and among allies: the United States, the EU, and Ukraine.
Andriy Yermak emphasized the importance of timely delivery of weapons to Ukraine to ensure proper operation of air defense systems to protect against terrorist missile attacks and to successfully continue the counteroffensive.
The meeting also touched upon the issue of directing frozen Russian assets to the needs of Ukraine.
At the same time, the Head of the President’s Office noted that Ukraine’s accession to NATO, provision of security guarantees, and membership in the European Union would contribute to the unification and strengthening of the democratic world, for which important reforms are being carried out in our country even during the war.
Andriy Yermak noted that the path to a just and lasting peace for Ukraine and the world will be ensured by the implementation of the Peace Formula initiated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
More than 80 countries have already joined the work on the action plan based on it.
“Ukraine’s victory and destruction of Russia’s military potential will mean the destruction of the aggressors’ plans and the reduction of terrorists’ influence in the world. Therefore, helping Ukraine is not only about saving the Ukrainian nation. It is the protection of all Europeans and Americans, the protection of freedom and security of all people on the planet,” the Head of the Presidential Office emphasized.
Andriy Yermak also thanked the interlocutors for their work in support of Ukraine, as these efforts contribute to the victory of democracy and building a safer world based on respect for the principles of international law.
