I think Yoda would have more worthwhile things to do than watch these movies.
Well, I’ve seen In The Heat of The Night and Thelma and Louise, but none of the others, lol.
I’m not sure Hotel Rwanda qualifies as Woke at all. More anti-Woke, really. Just IMHO.
Bttt
Being woke is nothing more than being fast asleep in a dystopian nightmare.
Like constantly getting Jedi Hutt kicked by the Sith
Pretty much anything from Disney since 1985…
I have seen Get out, Gran Torino , The Help and In the Heat of the Night.
White Man’s Burden….should probably be #1 or 2.
Agree
I wouldn’t say remember the Titans was woke. It was a tribute to hard work dedictation and obedience.
Some of these movies are not “woke.”
This is a lame attempt to reframe wokeness as normal. It’s not.
Cowboys don't herd sheep. They herd cattle. Shepherds herd sheep.
In the Heat of the Night isn’t woke. I haven’t seen the 1907 version of Ben Hur, which they cited, but if it’s anything like the 1928 or 1959 version, or like the book, it most certainly isn’t woke.
I avoid movies that are promoted as “stirring”. Usually they are overbearing preachy saccharine crap.
I did see Heat of the Night back in the 60s. Back then the KKK was still a political force. I wouldn’t call the fight against real racism “woke”. Woke refers to non-existent racism that is invented to benefit corrupt incompetent politicians and greedy NGOs. Back then racism was real, palpable and in your face.
I seen some of these films, heard of a few, and NEVER heard of many of them!
The following movies are absolutely, positively, 100% NOT WOKE; NOT EVEN REMOTELY, IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, MANNER, NOR FORM: 1) 12 Years A Slave
2) Mean Girls
3) The Color Purple
4) The Help
5) In The Heat of The Night
6) Soylent Green
7) All About Eve
8) Ben Hur ( 1907...nor the ones made in 1916 and 1959
There are many films ( early ones and more modern ones ), such as: OUR DAILY BREAD ( Commie movie! ), that never make one of these lists and are soooooooooo WOKE and Marxist, that they'll make your teeth ache when watching them AND induce you to SCREAM! 9) GLORY
The one movie that I would put Number One on top of the list, especially since it targeted kids: Happy Feet.
Hotel Rwanda hilighted the corruption and uselessness of the UN.
