The Republican Party checked itself into a rehab facility this morning, having hit rock-bottom in the throes of its addiction to losing.
"Once we got that first taste of losing, we just couldn't stop," said Ronna McDaniel, Chairwoman of the Republican Party. "Next thing you know, you have to lose even bigger just to match the thrill of that first crushing defeat. It's a vicious cycle."
Over the last several years, friends have watched the Republican Party steadily descend into addiction, with one loss inevitably leading to dozens more. "The Republican Party kept saying it didn't have a problem, that it could quit losing any time it wanted to," said long-time acquaintance Dan Gould. "They even got clean for a few months here and there, like back in 2022 with that Virginia governor. But -- they could never stay away for long."

For the few that get jobs, (minority Republicans), it’s a gravy train. They do nothing, act outraged at everything, and smile all the way to the bank.
I thought the Bee did satire?
And who’s been the defacto head of the party during all of this losing?

People expect the Republicans to do nothing, and they never let them down.
No opposition to Biden in 3 years. I worry now they’ll just try to appear as opposing him by adding more appropriate spending but not lessening a dollar to Joe’s pursuits.

That is because Trump is still spending all his time bashing DeSantis and planning his Meghan Markle debate (when he is not working on his NFT crypto scam).
The GOP operates on the premise that most voters practice civic virtue, and are driven by good morals and fiscal responsibility.
Therein lies the problem...
At this point maybe the GOP ought to try advertising that shames people as to how there is no meal ticket for freeloaders, and that their insufferable offspring will share the same lot in life.
What’s to lose?
This balancing act is getting GOP nowhere.
