PUBLIC DISCOURSE — When a child says he is transgender, we are expected nowadays to accept and celebrate this announcement.
But there are many parents who are not celebrating. They are suffering in silence. They know their children were not born in the wrong bodies and that hormones and surgeries are not the answers to their discomfort and confusion.
Their stories are heartbreaking. Here is one, in her own words.
My daughter, at age fourteen, spontaneously decided that she is actually a male. After suffering multiple traumatic events in her life and spending a large amount of time on the internet, she announced that she was “trans.” Her personality changed almost overnight, and she went from being a sweet, loving girl to a foul-mouthed, hateful “pansexual male.” At first, I thought she was just going through a phase. But the more I tried to reason with her, the more she dug her heels in. Around this time, she was diagnosed with ADHD, depression, and anxiety. But mental health professionals seemed mainly interested in helping her process her new identity as a male and convincing me to accept the notion that my daughter is actually my son.
At age sixteen, my daughter ran away and reported to the Department of Child Services that she felt unsafe living with me because I refused to refer to her using male pronouns or her chosen male name. Although the Department investigated and found she was well cared for, they forced me to meet with a trans-identified person to “educate” me on these issues. Soon after, without my knowledge, a pediatric endocrinologist taught my daughter—a minor—to inject herself with testosterone. My daughter then ran away to Oregon where state law allowed her—at the age of seventeen, without my knowledge or consent—to change her name and legal gender in court, and to undergo a double mastectomy and a radical hysterectomy.
My once beautiful daughter is now nineteen years old, homeless, bearded, in extreme poverty, sterilized, not receiving mental health services, extremely mentally ill, and planning a radial forearm phalloplasty (a surgical procedure that removes part of her arm to construct a fake penis).
The level of heartbreak and rage I am experiencing, as a mother, is indescribable. Why does Oregon law allow children to make life-altering medical decisions? As a society, we are rightly outraged about “female circumcision.” Why are doctors, who took an oath to first do no harm, allowed to sterilize and surgically mutilate mentally ill, delusional children?

She doesn’t have a dime to her name, but somehow, this horrendous, disfiguring operation can be afforded?
This is a heartbreaking story. The government and its sick, twisted trans agenda is evil.
Something like 65% of girls thinking that they are boys have underlying mental health issues. On the spectrum for autism, anxiety, OCD, etc, They are led to believe that their difficulties and invasive thoughts are because they are really the opposite sex. The internet is the starting point with stupid questionnaires (”When you get your period does it make you feel uncomfortable?”). The psychologists and therapists only make it worse by giving their stamp of approval. And finally, the money-loving evil doctors that will proscribe pills and do surgeries with little to no diagnosis on their part. “Hello, pleased to meet you. You say you really are a boy? It sounds like you've thought about this a lot. I'll prescribe you the pills and you can pick them up tomorrow.”
It is just like any other cult - promising to solve their problems, make them different than the others and special, and provide them with a group where they belong.
That was my first thought too. So sad.
In Sweden, where the trans-gender thing really took off (15 years ago??) there was an EXCELLENT documentary called the “Trans Train” that was made - showing how lacking their system was doing the pills, surgeries, etc. without really looking into the mental health of the people (mostly girls).
2 or 3 years ago, because of the film, new laws are in place and the number of medical treatments for transgenders has gone down by a lot. The USA got on the trans-train many years after Sweden and Europe did. Hopefully it won’t be too many years when we can get off of it too, and it goes the way of lobotomies. (LOTS of similarities between gender treatments and lobotomies.)

This endocrinologist did so with an absolute sense of safety apparently. Someday one of these sons of bitches is going to die.
You were probably a mentally healthy teen. This one is not, and is completely delusional.
Very sad. But at some point ya just need to let them make their o wn decisions. By 14, if you have not trained them to think discerningly, you have not done a very important part of your job. If you have, and they veere in a bad direction in rebellion, there is only so much you can do. Unfortunately, the bad decisions in this case have permanent life destroying scars.
Medical ‘professionals’, from abortionists to these sex chane and phycho monstors should be removed.

Succinct and true concerning "western" modern medicine. Many of us warned years ago that the LGBT types who only wanted to come out of the closet and be accepted, were creating a slippery slope that would result in what we are seeing every day.
I was fine with "Don't ask, Don't tell." I didn't care whatever consenting adults did in privacy. But now, that simple request of acknowledgement has morphed into a depraved sickness we read about every day.
The worse is the parents, physicians, politicians, LGBT orgs that say it's alright if an 6,8,10,12 year child, can be mutilated without the parents permission because their son or daughter likes to play with their siblings' toys for awhile.
NO ONE should be allowed to destroy a child's body until the age of 18 by their own choice. PERIOD. If the individual still believes they are an opposite gender, they should receive counseling rather than some greedy doctor just moving ahead with the mutilation.
I read almost every day about what's called "de-transitioning". The stories make you want to cry. This "trans" thing is child abuse if below legal age. I despise these people.
And what's with this "grooming" thing with Trannies, gays, even simple transvestites putting on skits and shows and reading to little children in grammar school? Why can't they just leave children to be children and maintain their youthful innocence? Hell, we can't even rely on Disney anymore.
Yes, modern medicine has gone off the [moral] rails, much like so many of our other institutions. Glad I'm at end days.
Social contagion in this country is growing by leaps and bounds. Groomers use this to identify and get their prey.

It’s societal neuroses and psychosis. Most parents are heartbroken to realize their child is a “nut job”. Very hard to accept. The cold hearted reality is rough. Disney and the Grimm Brothers don’t write the rules of life.

I know there are Leftist parents who cheer and encourage the whole trans philosophy; sadly, I'm related to one. But I believe the overwhelming majority are appalled and disgusted with this abuse.
Read what this mother is saying. Everyone who is inclined to blame parents for their child being sucked into this perverse cult, take heed. The forces aligned against you, should you try to actually HELP your kid, are very real and very powerful.
Our battleship-of-state has taken a long time to change course but change it has, to the detriment of all.
