Yes, but it’s a small place, so best to order online and pick up...................

I like tablecloths sometimes. Even if eating a sandwich.

It does look like a hole in the wall kind of place.

Grouper Sandwich
My brother lived in Clearwater, FL for awhile and while visiting I went to a place that served grouper sandwiches. I'm from the Midwest and never had one before. I ended up eating the blackened version every chance I got while there. Tasty...;O)

I like it in MOSTLY HARMLESS (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) where the hapless Arthur Dent crashes on a primitive planet and loses all his technology. He is useless to the tribe that takes him in, until they see him make a sandwich. Then, with his skills as the “Sandwich Maker”, he becomes a valued member of the society.

Don’t mix sandwiches with rock climbing.

Maybe that’s why I don’t recognize it. We traverse the Miracle Strip Pkwy frequently when we’re there.

I’m a native of Florida that moved away for love. Any fresh fish or seafood you can get your hands on when you’re down there is something to behold. Don’t get me wrong. I love all sorts of meats and vegetables, but fresh seafood isn’t to be taken lightly. The sooner you get it off the boat, the better it is!

It’s ‘front’ is 90° off US98 so unless you know where it is you probably won’t see it. It’s downtown, which is amess right now because of the new bridge construction, which will take another 4 years. Will be even worse in the summer................

We’ve been to that nearby park a time or two when going downtown, so I have a feeling for where it is. Usually we are mostly down at the beach. I don’t remember the bridge being under construction when we were there around Labor Day.
My sister from St. Pete says she thinks it’s neat that construction projects have a firm start and stop up here. That’s because they are hard to do over winter. Sometimes they are ongoing, but not usually. The orange barrels start disappearing right about now, and then they crop back up as soon as it warms up again.

I am a big fan of sandwiches. So much so...I don’t think I have a favorite.
Also...please add chips and a pickle.

That’s a great idea to have sides of chips and a pickle.
For Cuban sandwich lovers, have a side of yellow rice topped with black beans. Yum!

My Cubans look very much like that! So much goodness in them! The bread is key! But so are the pork, the ham, the pickle, the cheese, the mustard. Did I forget anything? I need to put Cubans on our menu sometime soon.
We’re having ribs from hubbie’s secret recipe tonight. Been working on them low and slow all day. Fresh collards have been cooking for hours, Dilled red potatoes for a side. And cucumbers to help with the heat. Delish!

Here’s my rendition of a Cuban, from scratch. This was from a few years ago, when everyone was locked down. Complete with a Cuban salad, fresh mango, and Cuba Libre with rum from Cuba that our daughter brought back with her as a gift from a year or two before. It was good, and the beginning of making homemade Cuban bread for me.

Yes, we do.
I think you might call us “foodies” if it means what I think. We love to cook, and try to excel at that for each other and guests when they come.
My father was in the restaurant business for a very short time. Never gave up his passion though the restaurant went out of business. Once we made it past the poverty of being bankrupt, I learned to love to cook and bake. Hubby loves to grill. Our three grown children have all kept up with this passion.
We know we have to watch our calories, and we get daily exercise, but there are so many ways that food is love. You can make those foods healthy and be loving. Yet, there are times when the good old calories feel so good. Everything in moderation, right?
