Saw it on TV last night. Amazing...
When I lived in Virginia for a year, one southern belle said all she knew about NY was to lock your car...or they'd fill it with Zuchinni.

I harvested and ate all my zucchini well before they got that big. My biggest was about the size of a baseball bat. It had sneakily been growing on a part of the vine in the back of the raised bed. And boy, were they good!

It’s not the length that matters.
It’s the girth.
Or so I’m told.

there are varieties than can grow very long, but that is crazy.....I think if you have a long enough season and an area where the zuch can grow uninhibited, its possible apparently to get one that long....I also think he might have cut off other blossoms on the same plant to focus on that one big zucchini.

A favored Oriental zucchini and onion stir fry side dish.
Cut 4” spears of peeled zucchini and chunks of onion.
Stir fry in peanut oil, while adding salt and pepper, soy sauce, dry mustard powder, ginger powder, sugar, and a small amount of crushed red pepper (optional). The sauce it creates is light brown.
When cooked, top with a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
