Stylin, are you saying you believe Palestinians had their own land? If so you should read this article.
The Forgotten History of the Term "Palestine"
"It is widely thought, as reflected in my 1976 New College Edition of the American Heritage Dictionary, that the term Palestine refers only to the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Countless books and maps say that Israel, in conquering the West Bank and Gaza in the 1967 Six-Day War, took control of “all of Palestine.” But that is not correct."
"The term “Palestine” was used for millennia without a precise geographic definition. That’s not uncommon—think of “Transcaucasus” or “Midwest.” No precise definition existed for Palestine because none was required. Since the Roman era, the name lacked political significance. No nation ever had that name."
"The term was meaningful to Christians as synonymous with the Holy Land. It was meaningful to Jews as synonymous with Eretz Yisrael, which is Hebrew for the Land of Israel. As noted by the Palestinian scholar Muhammad Y."

I understood that the Romans called the area Palestine (after the Philistines) to rile the Jews after one of the emperors (Constantine?)became Christian and it spread through the Roman Empire. From what I understand, it is the land of Canaan, a land that God gave to Abraham. Jews, and later Christians had lived there ever since.
There never was such a thing as Palestinians, at least from what I understand. It was just a geographical area, not a specific group of ethnicity.
I’m no scholar, so I may be way off, and don’t mind saying so.
I hope you all are proud of yourselves. My FAVORITE flavor USED to be Vanilla. Not anymore. Thank You Very Much! GRR
:)
The Congress is addicted to spending other people’s money especially when some comes back to them.
Ukraine anyone!
You can take my name off of that post as I had absolutely nothing to do with it.
It was a joke on me!
My apologies, Chani.
I take full responsibility for introducing this vomit-inducing bit of trivia. I had no idea nobody had heard this before.
Vanilla is my favorite flavor as well. I make my own, but that’s still pretty pricey.....especially because it is something I never measure, I just pour. Both ingredients are not cheap.....the beans, and the vodka.
All I can say is if you’ve used the artificial vanilla for years and it hasn’t bothered you, maybe you can get past where it comes from and continue to enjoy it. It is, after all, still a natural product. ;)

REAL vanilla is still safe! It’s my favorite flavor also. I would use real extract as perfume, actually I might as well try it. I sniff the bottle whenever I have a chance.
“I make my own”
Aren’t vanilla beans pricey? I like to make my own vanilla sugar. A lot of German baking uses it. I haven’t made any in a long time, I need to look for some beans next time I go to the Mennonites store.
still natural, lol!
Yes, vanilla beans are pricey.
I used to have a friend who went to the Dominican Republic every year and brought back the most delicious vanilla for me. She said it was cheap down there and she loaded up on it. I don’t know how expensive it would be up here, but it might be worth a trip lol.
BA HA HA
You nailed it!
Thanks for the laugh, I needed it!
*evil grin*
Lol I’m fine with that, Chani. I was just kidding - heck, I’ve been called worse than that before! Quite recently, in fact lol.
TY sweetie!
Female sailors are called Waves, much more sophisticated.
Great! Will he get jail time or a slap on the wrist?
Is he guilty guilty, or is he Jussie Smollett guilty? There’s a big difference.
I’m sure he will get the least that the judge can give him.
Frankly, I’m surprised he was found guilty.
