Did you ever watch the TV series Bones? I just found out about it this year and a friend sent me the complete back years and episodes.
if you hadn’t watched it it was about a fictional forensic team in Washington DC Bones was the forensic anthropologist, her partner was an FBI agent.
One day some men appeared (FBI) and closed up the lab and they said that they had a special assignment for the team and they brought in a casket and in it was a set of bones. They were to determine cause of death
As the research team investigated the body, they privately secretly determined it was JFK and they were to determine the cause of death using modern technology.
It was a good episode and the team did along the way break the rules they weren’t supposed to try to determine who it was or a lot of other things but that’s not how they worked regularly
Lol. Just saw this:

Just in case anyone is considering a switch in denomination over the holiday season lol:
Slide…. Dunkin’ Donuts ? Krispy Kreme? When I last lived in this city over 30 years ago, I was a real estate broker & stopped at KK every morning. Coffee and a couple donuts as I read the paper n listed out my days agenda.
I don’t think I went to either one in that 30 years
But major shock when I went a few months ago. Prices! Outrageous for one donut!
I see why many of my friends make or are learning to make donuts.
No, Dolly, I never saw that series.
Love forensics though.
Mmmmm doughnuts! Two now - they’re to die for.

I think I’m going to “visit” the Haka one in New Zealand this Sunday lol. I hope the worship team are the same as the Haka team! How cool would that be?!
THAT is too funny. EXCEPT ...
We Presbyterians do indeed move a few muscles at special times, when it’s your mouth in song or responsive reading.
In October one of our church’s celebrated their 50th anniversary as a particular church. There was a lot of GREAT, well-performed (classical and godly) music. You could tell who the church regulars were. You see, we don’t applaud a performer. We always assume they have done their best performance. The glory is to God, not the performer. The applause misdirects our attention.

Sixty years ago today I was in the tenth grade, sitting next to my friend, Lenny Quaranto, in Mrs Kopitko’s French class. We had cross-country practice after school, but it was my Mother’s birthday and I wanted to get home. My Dad was stationed overseas in Korea, and I wanted to be there for her. All of a sudden Mr. Morry, our decidedly unique school principal, came on the school PA system, and in his usually mercurial way said, “Boys and girls, the president has been shot.” Lenny and I looked at each other, thinking the same thing, as it turned out, and he said, “Who would shoot Bill Osborne?” Bill was our class president, the nicest kid you could ever meet. It was unlikely he would be the target of a madman. Before I could answer, the feedback screeched, and Mr. Morry, ever the font of information, uttered those four words I’ll never forget, “of the United States.” Without further ado, he clicked off, leaving us sitting in stunned silence. Track practice was canceled after we heard the news later in the day that our shining young president had been slaughtered by, yes indeed, a madman. It was snowing by the time I was able to start to walk the two miles to home. Luckily a neighbor was driving by and gave me a ride. We both listened intently to the radio. I remember that I wasn’t embarrassed to see that we both had tears rolling down our faces, as we mourned a young man of peace and a nation of innocence, both now gone forever.

Some pretty good ones, and some serious messages along with the humor, as always, with The Bee.
Joel Osteen being one for thought, for sure.
I attended a church for a few years that didn’t clap for the performer as well. It seemed like a worldly thing to do. After all, everyone in the audience makes a “beautiful noise” in worship (some more beautiful than others) and nobody claps for us lol. It’s all for God, and, if any clapping went on at the end of a song, it was directed at Him.
Thanks for that, exit. Very emotional time.
That looks great, you can cook!
It was me dolly, I was being catty.
My sincere apologies to the thread but most especially starlit.
