"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.

Defense says it will finish presenting its case by Dec. 15
Donald Trump’s lawyers plan to present a defense case that would conclude by Dec. 15, defense lawyer Chris Kise said.
Before court concluded today, Judge Engoron also advised Trump’s lawyers that he would not respond positively to a motion for mistrial based on the actions of his clerk who Trump’s attorneys have accused of being biased against the defense and improperly influencing the trial.
“I am directing you not to make that motion,” Engoron initially said — but then he backtracked.
“We obviously are going to be moving for a mistrial — that is part of the plan. [But] we do not want to put anyone at risk,” Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba said, requesting clarity about how they can move for a mistrial without violating the case’s gag order that prohibits parties from making public statements about the judge’s staff.
“You can make that motion. And I’m sorry I yelled at you before,” Engoron told Habba.
Court is set to resume on Wednesday with testimony from Ivanka Trump.

Interesting. When PTSD was identified after Vietnam, the literature stated that "Shell shock" from previous wars was the same thing, but hadn't been recognized.
The explanation with actual concussions contradicts that view. It feels right to me, at least in the case of artillery crews.
The other famous group of patients sponged into the PTSD bucket was active duty British soldiers of WWII who were pulled back from the front lines suffering from what was called "Battle Fatigue." This led directly to some of the most famous work on psychology of large groups. I wonder what is the true story there.

Jews in America buying guns? Sounds a lot like the days of the Jewish peaceniks are pretty much over. Of the 3 dozen, or so, kibutzes that were shot up in Israel only one had a few firearms with which to defend itself. A couple of guys there saved the place from damage. One-—just one, out of 3 dozen? It continually fascinates me how the “hope for the best” crowd gets by?
Do we know yet who actually posted bail for Curly Bankman? It was a huge number and his folks helped with their house, which they have probly lost. His folks were in on the scam up to their pony tails so I’m waiting for the charges against them. And whoever was covering for them at Stanford needs prosecuting also. I guess we’ll hear soon whether forfeiting the bail is park of his sentence-—and I’m rooting for the whole hunnert years for his dirtbagness. It’s a huge money loss for the DNC.
The damage that concussion can do has been well known for the past century. From what I’ve seen for half of it is that the gummint calls it something conveniently else because they don’t want to pay for it.
We knew about it back in my day pre-Veetnam. My old M48 had a 90mm gun that could really crack. The muzzle brake was arranged so that a bodacious super sonic shock wave went at 90 degrees from the muzzle when fired. The ground guys were coached to NOT be 90 degrees to the muzzle when it fired ‘cause it would give them a nose bleed. When that turret moved they learned to move with it and stay behind it as best the could That’s some serious concussion and one would not want to accumulate many of those?
