"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.

Before the AMA, doctors routinely used herbs, whatever pharmaceuticals there were at that time (not that many), and other natural harmless methods (fomentations, etc). The AMA is jealous, and hates any competition, and is a whore for the Pharma industry.

On Monday, Senator Manchin told E&E News it wasn’t personal: “I have my differences with the whole system — the Interior Department completely — because it’s going in the wrong direction. I don’t think it’s good for our country.”
Pressed on whether he had concerns about Daniel-Davis in a leadership role at Interior, specifically, Senator Manchin said, “No, no.”

When a memo, signed by Daniel-Davis, inadvertently posted online back in March of 2023 that rejected cutting oil and gas royalty rates for a lease sale off the coast of Alaska — arguing that doing so would encourage fossil fuel development and contradict the administration’s efforts to combat climate change — it was the final straw for Senator Murkowski.
It also incensed Senator Manchin. Later that same week, he announced his committee would not vote another time to move Daniel-Davis through his panel, effectively killing her nomination.

Now, Senator Murkowski said the decision to promote Daniel-Davis has the potential to further alienate her from the administration that continues to rely on her for help advancing other nominees and agenda items.

Senator Murkowski, who is still smarting over the departure of Beaudreau in the deputy secretary role — an ally who she personally recommended for the job, and who Daniel-Davis is succeeding in the acting capacity — also called it “one of those signals coming out of the administration that … they just really don’t care about what Congress thinks about who they put in there. They’re gonna do what they damn well want.”
One of checks and balances of the system is the Senate’s role and power to confirm or reject nominees to serve in the Executive Branch. But in multiple energy-related confirmations, the Biden administration hasn’t worried about finding people acceptable to the Senate.
The Administration has just put their person in the role in an acting capacity and dared the Senate to do something about it. Senators need to be more aggressive with appropriations if they want the administration to listen to them about Daniel-Davis and other important nominations.

FJB’s allies, including RINO Murk, abandoning him due to the writing on the wall? Even politico is allowing criticism of FJB.
More insidious though is how FJB and the swamp outmaneuver the weaklings in Congress knowing there will be minimal pushback. If there is pushback FJB and his minions will have advanced their agenda due to this.
Johnson needs to use the purse strings instead of depending on the Senate.
When their time comes they all need to pay. Public trials at the least.
