The 2024 hopeful told podcaster Patrick Bet-David that his cowboy boots were 'just standard, off the rack Lucchese' and that he stood at 5'11''
But a trio of expert shoemakers have come forward to say he is using lifts to make himself look taller.
Politico Magazine on Tuesday gave what had been merely online speculation some legitimacy, with all three boot and shoemakers pointing out how the odd fit of the candidate's boots likely means he's getting a boost.
(comments by 3 boot makers/experts)
DeSantis' spokesman Bryan Griffin did not appreciate Politico Magazine's investigation.
Griffin said. 'The governor doesn't pad his boots,

They are both doing the same thing, but you have a different standard for one over the other. DeSantis may be overconscious of his height and Trump is overconscious about his hairline and they both take steps to hide their inadequacies from the public.
It would be a point of leadership for both to state that they have an inadequacy, but they aren’t going to take steps to hid it.
It’s an issue only for those that want it to be an issue. Personal vanity stuff is not an issue for me. Trump can strategically over comb his hair and DeSantis can wear heels.
As long as there are no other problems.
Back to your mindless drive-by sniping I see.
He said he was 5 11 . That’s not short . Why would be feel the need for hidden heels ?
But his arrogance is.
None of them have satisfactorily explained why he changed the "Resign-to-Run" law like Charlie Crist did because he thought he was going to be McLame's VP choice. Rick Scott changed the law back to the way it was, then DeSantis comes along, and reverses it again. People seem to be okay with a Governor using their majority in the State Legislature to benefit themselves politically and monetarily. It reeks of abuse of power.
I don’t like the fact that went into running as POS so unprepared and unknowledgeable. He bought hook, line and sinker, the idea that he could be President just because he was a good Governor.
He really should have done a better job of evaluating his chances on this point, imo. Yes, arrogance and a lack of introspection.
> It reeks of abuse of power. <
That’s the bottom line. And that’s where DeSantis lost me.
I am also not impressed by his continued campaigning. This is not a close GOP primary race. Like it or not, Trump has the nomination. Period. It’s over.
So why are DeSantis, Christie, etc. still in the race? They are all hoping for something really bad to happen to Trump. That’s ghoulish behavior. I can think of no better way to describe it.
B.S. Trump does nothing to pretend his hair isn't thinning. Even with his combover, it's still very apparent that his hair has thinned out, and he knows it. He could use a hat, wig or toupee to cover it up, and try to convince people that he's got a full head of hair, but he doesn't. Deliberately putting lifts in your shoes to make yourself appear to be taller than you actually are is the act of a vain person. DeSantis hides his travel and meeting records from the public. Hides his actual height by wearing lifts that detract from his appearance. What else is he hiding?
You're right on the money with that comment.

Should we consider Pres. Trump’s veneers a reason to not vote for him? After all, he did lie about locking Hillary up (they’re “good people” after all) and his pro-life veneer is a little thin.

LOL...
the desperate desantis supporters are all saying so what to desantis wearing lifts...
The point isn’t desantimonious wearing lifts.
The point is desantis lies about it.
And almost all ignore that if desantis deliberately lies about wearing lifts, he will lie about other things.
And the few that responds so what, he lied, they seem to think they can figure out when he is lying...
So the obvious question then is, how would you ever know he’s lying again?
The world is going to Hell in a handbasket and THIS is what people think is newsworthy?
Fortunately, we have a president in office now who never lies. I know this to be true because he said so and he never lies.
This is childish.
Sniff sniff…
I smell desperation.
our best hope to save the country from the ravages of the left is adored by ….. a bunch of third graders reveling in flinging boogers at a political competitor . nice.
Haven't we had about enough of fakes and pretenders?
And spare us the "BUT TRUMP!"
