Excess Death Rates for Republican and Democratic Registered Voters in Florida and Ohio During Pandemic
JAMA Internal Medicine Original Investigation
About The Study:
In this study evaluating 538,000 deaths in individuals ages 25 and older in Florida and Ohio between March 2020 and December 2021, excess mortality was significantly higher for Republican voters than Democratic voters after COVID-19 vaccines were available to all adults, but not before. These findings suggest that differences in vaccination attitudes and reported uptake between Republican and Democratic voters may have been factors in the severity and trajectory of the pandemic in the U.S.

I’ll take my chances.
“Makes sense. Republicans mocked COVID for a long time as just a cold.”
Because mocking a disease makes it angry, therefore more likely to kill you or something.
OK, now bring in the numbers showing more people died of the Vaxx than Covid. How do Democrats and Republicans compare with those numbers?
In the beginning there was some evidence that the vaxx offered at least some protection against death if nothing else. But as time went on and people started boosting that advantage seems to have petered out.
Interesting that most deaths were in Ohio. I’m thinking those in Florida probably had higher vitamin D levels which helped them. While the study took into account age there might be other confounding factors like socioeconomic status that wasn’t taken into account.
“ Not to mention said “Go out and get infected on purpose”.
As opposed to getting infected on accident which isn’t as deadly as on purpose.
RE: And how did they know they were Republicans?
I think the only data they can gather is their voter registration. I failed to find in the paper, data regarding WHO was vaccinated and WHO wasn’t.
Isn’t it possible for Democrats like say, RFK Jr. to be against vaccination?
Democide was the #1 form of non-natural death in the 20th Century. It is proving to be the same in the 21st Century

Stats by counties with known political demographics. That’s the metric driving the stated outcome.
Well most of the counties across America are Red. County populations vary wildly. The rate of herd immunity is a function of density. Flu spread and migration was not uniform. And the “pandemic” was pretty much over prior to the rollout of the vax.
A specious study as far as I’m concerned.
Exactly. The virus was tricky enough that it was a danger to a lone stand up paddle boarder in California, and thank God the authorities used helicopters, boats and beach personnel to lock him up. It was a danger to him but not to Governor Newsom who ate dinner at a top shelf restaurant surrounded by lobbyists and pharmaceutical company executives.
They are..
No they chose two republican leaning states.
Instead of say...Florida and California.
The whole vaccine denial thing never made an iota of sense to me. The older generation that went through the Great Depression wasn’t like this at all, and they would spin in their graves if they knew that their children and grandchildren were listening to the likes of RFK, Jr., the environut lawyer! Seriously! What in the heck?!!
Absolutely bullschtein. No, they’did not ask.
Stop muddying the waters with actual quotes from the b.s. article.
Why choose red leaning states?
why not Florida vs. California?
The study appears invalid on the face of it.
Weren’t the hotter batches deployed to red states?
