Two teenagers accused of killing a retired police chief were seen smirking, laughing and making obscene hand gestures in court as their trial date was set.
Jesus Ayala, 18, and Jzamir Keys, 16, both face charges which include numerous felonies including murder in relation to the death of Andreas Probst, 64.
The defendants could be seen smiling and laughing as Probst's family gathered in a Las Vegas court room for a hearing on Tuesday morning.
The pair have been charged as adults and entered not-guilty pleas to multiple felonies including murder, battery and grand larceny of an automobile.
Probst died after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle down a highway, which police believe was intentionally done by Ayala and Keys in August.
Probst daughter Taylor told KSNV after the hearing: 'These guys did not respect the court whatsoever. They were just d*****g around the entire time.'
During the hearing, in which a trial date was set, Taylor said the two had flipped her and her mother off.
She told the outlet: 'They (the defendants) were flipping us off. How can you sit there after taking a man's life and act like such an entitled p***k?'
Besides the fatal collision with Probst, which the two are said to have filmed, police also believe they had been involved earlier that day in another incident of a 72-year-old cyclist being mowed down.
New video released by a local court on Monday allegedly shows the teens laughing and intentionally striking the 72-year-old man.
The victim suffered a knee injury from the crash but survived, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Separate surveillance footage showed what's believed to be the suspects trying to flee the cops by running through a parking lot.

“I am still an advocate for penal colonies.”
I concur. The left cannot whine about ‘state sanctioned murder’ and if these guys are as tough as they think they are they will live. If not ... Oh well, the societal gene pool will improve.
Well, they’re going to get plenty of d*****g where they’re going. That’ll probably stop the smirking.
More of Satan’s fr’kn animals running loose the world! As the nation’s government and public schools try to remove God from our people’s lives... they open the door to Satan and we now see so many of his animals running loose in the world.
“Psychopaths”
I doubt it. The “kids” of today have learned that everything they do has a do over. And the death penalty has been erased in around half the states so the word is out that everything is open season.
Nevada is one of 27 states that permit capital punishment. However, the state has not actually carried out an execution since April 26, 2006. A sentence of death is reserved for individuals convicted of murder involving aggravating circumstances.
Capitol punishment was used as a deterrent for many years and only used for the most horrible of crimes. If it isn’t going to be used, then where is the deterrent?

2. Oh, you mean they are Democrats!
You have Alcatraz. You only need to recommission it.
I was trying to figure out what d*****g meant, but you clarified it.
It means d*****g.
No…give them a bike…tell them to ride…then run them down like they did to those two poor men. And run over them again if necessary to dispatch them.
As a former prosecutor and defense attorney…that argument has been used quite effectively.
“take them far enough out in the desert and leave them with no shoes or water “
That form of justice was effective in the last episode of “Dark Winds”, which we watched last night.
Send in Snake Pliskin!
Running Man redux
I still don’t get it. Maybe “Richard-ing”? (I’d suck at Wheel Of Fortune.)
It’s time we get real harsh with these criminals.
