Funny how they think a 3.2% COLA is satisfactory for SS, but the base Medicare B cost goes up 5.9%.

$120 a year. Well, considering how much I was paying for Obamacare, and getting nothing, it’s a drop in the bucket.

"'Standard *monthly* Medicare Part B premiums will be $174.70 in 2024'"

It was $170.10 in 2022 for comparison.

Could have been worse.

Medicare premium will only eat up about a quarter of the SS increase.

I remember some years where the overall SS increase ended up being $1 and $3.

The headline:
Medicare Part B standard premiums to increase by $9.80 per month in 2024.*

(The rest of the story: They increased the deductible, and one will pay an additional $14 out-of-pocket.)

The illegals get Medicaid if they cannot pay cash for health care.

Medicaid comes out of the general federal budget, which is mostly funded by your income tax.

Or, it is funded by new federal debt, which means your income tax is paying the interest on the national debt, so illegals can have free health care, free food, and free housing.

In return, the illegals promise to vote 100% Democrat, as soon as they get a Drivers License, which is also a license to vote in many states.

Let me just cut to the chase, because it is confusing no matter how you try to explain it as to which program funded it...

We don’t have any money from any stash to pay for it, but just some loans our representatives in Washington voted in and promise to pay back some day.

i know someone on a state medicaid that is not the medicaid dependent on assets. I dont know what it is called. I was shocked at the healthcare he gets. Its like a dream healthcare. just about any doctor he wants to see..dental and vision covered..and if for some reason the insurance company denies the claim he doesnt have to pay. i guess the Doctor eats it. need a $1200 knee brace? sure ..no problem..no cost. they also have free stuff like free air filter if you have breathing problems. he can select from a number of items..like comforter, etc.

Blew my mind. Meanwhile, my obamacare sucks

My brother in law. I asked him if he understood that it was so cheap because everyone not on medicare was paying insane premiums to make up for the money doctors lose on each medicare patient. Talk about pissing into the wind.

I opted out of part B. I recently had catarac
surgery. The doc says we’ll do one eye and then do the other eye a week later. OK. I go to schedule the appointments and the lady says, “your self pay, you can have both eyes done at the same appointment and it’s $1,500 cheaper.”

It wasn’t until I retired that I realized how expensive free health care from the government is.
