It would take 72 days for rescuers to learn the fate of the survivors, and by that time, only 16 were left to tell their story. The survivor's harrowing story was brought to the big screen in the 1993 feature film, Alive.

I knew a Guy back in Texas that drove an old P544 Volvo that had a sticker on the back window that read:
RUGBY PLAYERS EAT THEIR DEAD
I read that book as a kid.
The movie “Alive”, really did a good job with the plane crash, very intense. It was a miracle that anyone even survived.

What’s for dinner?!
You know you’re in trouble when you ask for a menu, and they hand you a mirror instead.
They were very much Christians and they prayed and anguished over that decision.
When you see their situation which was no food, no plants, no animals, nothing to burn, no anything but snow, and read about their decision-making process and prayers, it is a very thought-provoking experience related to survival cannibalism.
