Anyone else notice how bad FoxNews APP and website have become with pop up ads during the past week or so? I can't view stories because my computer freezes, and I deleted the APP on my iPhone because the ads steal the screen completely...
Like others, I don’t go there., so no I haven’t noticed.
Yahoo is bad as well. The pages do not load many times.
I have noticed that, too. Fine, if they are going to do that, I’ll just go elsewhere.
I watch a lot of videos on YouTube. They are REALLY bad! It doesn’t matter what I’m watching- commercials, commercials, commercials….
And I refuse to pay for the premium version. There are fewer and fewer videos I can watch ANYWHERE that are commercial free.
They are a joke. They fired Tucker, and the Pub “debates” are a clown show.
Plus Hammity had the stupid idea to have a debate between DeSantis and that California idiot. What a stupid idea. Of course it went nowhere.
There is nothing worth watching there anymore, other than Gutfeld if I stay up that long.
I haven’t watched FN is ages, but I did read the APP and website until now.
I have not watched FNC, Fox Business, or looked at their website since Nov 2020. I do not click on any articles from their website on Free Republic. Paul Ryan is a treasonous SOB.
I can usually read the stories at the top but as I go down, I become unable to read the stories - phone freezes up.
I will move heaven and earth not to read, listen to, or watch Fox.
bump and welcome.
What’s a Fox app?
“My ad blockers have increasingly been neutralized and don’t do much of anything.”
NoScript.
Just went to Fox with NoScript and it let me read all the articles with all third party hidden scripts and ads blocked. It will override most paywalls also. Everyone should have this to prevent hidden trackers and finger-printers.
You can update your AdBlock with AdBlock plus—helps a bit.
I use Bitdefender “TrafficLight” anti-tracker in conjunction with built-in Safari to cross-site trackers and block fingerprinting by sites. The stats are incredible. 68% of sites contacted trackers. Google.com is the most contacted tracker and it prevented Google.com from tracking me on 201 sites the past 30 days. Other big tracker sites are imgflip (36 trackers), fox news (30), national review (28), breitbart (11), American Thinker (11). Google was seen on 201 sites, Yahoo on 82 sites, Bing on 67 sites.
They really are watching us.
NoScript does the work of them all. It blocks absolutely 100% of ALL scripts on the site including all the site elements that are JavaScript. Sometimes you have to go “allow” the one or two base scripts to use the site, but it still blocks absolutely everything else without fail.
And it has a direct connection to forward that particular script URL and do a Blacklight privacy inspection. It will show all the third and fourth parties all your data is being forwarded to.
You would be very surprised how many forward to “Alphabet”, which is of course Google as a fourth party. But they are listed by different names in the script URL.

Too bad NoScript does not work on a Mac.
Sorry, I didn’t notice they didn’t have it for Safari. My fault. But it is here now for others to consider. :)
