I have family members in Bali wanting to travel to Dubai and then home to the USA.
Is that a wise route or even possible now with the War in Israel.
I think it's a bad choice. What do my Freeper friends suggest?
Are there travel restrictions in place?
Dubai has never been a safe place. It was just an illusion of being so.

But you know it’s funny. I can make my comment about overseas Americans ‘acting like they’re American’ and literally EVERYONE knows what I mean.
Lived in Abu Dhabi for years and friends there now say it’s very safe.
Most expats hate America more than your local Muslim. No joke. Most American Expats are big supporters of Biden and Democrats. I was one of a very few Americans that didn’t hate the US.
One additional safety concern is the revelation the major US airlines have planes riddled with inferior replacement parts. I personally wouldn’t fly today for that reason.
I used to change flights often in Dubai flying on Emirates. I never felt uncomfortable in Dubai.
I was there in May and it was fine. you’re good. The United States is the most dangerous country I’ve ever been to. Don’t listen to all these other naysayers. Follow the rules and don’t do stupid stuff like drink and drive or steal or be overly obnoxious. Good time of year now too because its not as hot. They have a monarch named Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and he doesn’t put up with the BS. Almost everyone is a foreign national and if you screw around they’ll deport you.

Egypt is nor has it never been safe for Americans that aren’t Muslim. I have been there many times and never felt safe.
Dubai is completely safe for Americans. You’re in far more danger in your avg Dem-run USA city.

Truth is, countries like UAE and Saudi Arabia are quickly losing their patience with Palestinians, who they consider as little more than savage, illiterate bumpkins. They know they're not going to be oil-rich forever. These countries want a future with prosperous, tech-savvy Israel as a way to diversify their economies. Hence, the Benjamin Accords.
If you are rich and can afford the best hotels, you are safe everywhere.
