Corrupt people don't like competition, and they like honest people taking down corrupt a lot less. Maybe he doesn't like that Zelensky took down Putin's oligarch buddies like Ihor Kolomoyskiy and Viktor Medvedchuk. Junker would know about corruption, such as using political office to allow tax evasion.

Then there is the matter of how the Luxembourg euthanasia law was passed. The Catholic monarch of Luxembourg was Grand Duke Henri. When the chamber of deputies passed a euthanasia law, he vetoed it. In response to this, Prime Minister, Jean-Claude Juncker pushed through legislation stripping Henri of his authority, making his role as monarch meaningless. Then passed the euthanasia law.

Obviously, he was a perfect choice to have such long elected office in the EU. Next time look up who someone is and their reputation her before posting. Hint: Juncker wore out his welcome among conservatives a long time ago.

"The Institute for the Study of War"

Seriously? You're quoting the ISW, run by the vile neocon and Color Revolution-affecting Victoria Nuland's execrable, bloodthirsty family as a legitimate, unbiased source of news on the war?

That's almost as bad as posting articles from the draft-dodging, blood money-glomming coward Denys Davydov.

What a funny little reply you've made. Thinking you're telling me something I did not know. Hubris becomes you.

Of course, I know who Juncker is, and am quite able to do my own research. I do not cite him because I admire him, as does the original poster admires her headliner, Davydov.

I cite him because, though a complete jackass, his statements were covered throughout the world press show a shift in narrative.

As to the EU enthusiasm with euthanasia and abortion, the US is not far behind when one cites the likes of the Democrats and RINOs here, none of whom I would cite because I admire them, but all of whom I would cite because sometimes their views prove a point.

I have cited Mein Kampf to illustrate a point, though I am not a Nazi. I have cited the Communist Manifesto, though I am no Communist. I have cited the Koran, though I am no Muslim. And I will cite Juncker, another jackass, when I choose to illustrate a point.

The POINT, Widget Jr, is that the narrative in the worldwide media seems to be shifting.

Another point that I will cite is that there is a cottage industry grown up around what some call war porn. Monetized YouTube videos a plenty, complete as channels with seeking donations and support and subscriber-ship and tips and the selling of "merch" all as money makers on the backs of the Ukraine-Russia war. It is proved with citations and links and and the large share of these "Ukraine KaBoom" channels are uploaded from the United States, so residents here are pocketing a pretty penny to entertain those who would watch. Click. Donate. Money.

Because for many, THAT is what this is all about. Corruption in so many places. Turn over some more rocks, friend. There's more corruption to be seen.

One observes yet again "Reporting from Ukraine" which is actually reporting from the United States -- # 74 posted on 10/7/2023, 12:06:54 AM by UMCRevMom@aol.com.

The channel "Reporting from Ukraine" is monetized! Since Mar 4, 2022, the channel has generated 134,056,490 views. Assuming all views were monetized from day 1* with an average RPM of $3.00, this channel has generated $402,169.47 over 510 days. That's an average of $287,827.17 per year.

Gosh and golly gee whiz, you saw my point which was clearly NOT a paean to the 'great man,' Jean-Claude Juncker. Some others mistakenly thought I held admiration for "a gin-soaked, globalist dirtbag ." Thankfully, in thinking they were somehow informing me about ""a gin-soaked, globalist dirtbag like Juncker" that I would fall adoringly at the feet of some other "war porn" pusher. Nah.

But some looking back with nostalgia....

"I told Joe Biden that he had to run for president": Juncker

For those -- not you -- with problems with reading comprehension, a gin-soaked, globalist dirtbag like Juncker is worth citing to illustrate a point, just as above that "gin-soaked, globalist dirtbag" is seen standing alongside an even greater globalist and massively corrupt dirtbag.

You sound like a fool. You really trying to use “globalists” to defend Putin’s invasions of Ukraine, Georgia, Crimea and Kazakhstan? It’s like Himmler or Hitler babbling on about a Polish attack on the Gleiwitz radio tower. It is a pathetic and contemptible excuse for Russia’s military invasions of other countries.

Dear Mr. Floridian, like your "mom" and her go-to Biden-endorsing Ben Hodges,

I haven't used globalists to defend Putin's invasion. Period. Ergo you lied.

Care to cite anything that I have written to that end? Be my guest, by looking through the "In Forum" part of Free Republic. Search and cite, if you can.

I haven't defended Putin. Period. Ergo you lied a second time.

I am aware of many false flags, such as the Überfall auf den Sender Gleiwitz. Happy to see you are aware of it too.

There are more than two options by which to see this war, and to attempt to limit perspectives has been the game of those who refuse a third or fourth perspective.

Quote me: "Two non-NATO nations with a common border are at war, one having invaded another, and both are proven to be corrupt and thuggish. Period."

Demanding someone choose their favorite thug -- the weaker of the two because "underdog" is such a fine argument -- does not mean that a third perspective cannot be seen. I refuse to cheer for either. They -- these bloody belligerents -- will come to their conclusion as time passes. Today, tomorow or years from now.

But to accuse me of being a defender of Putin shows you cannot conceive of more than two stances. Another, which some Freepers evidence with "not my circus and not my clowns" or "not my flag and not my country," seems inconceivable to you apparently.

There are more than three differing views found in these threads. And when the Robinson dictum is played as a strategy in discussion and debate, what is assiduously ignored is his clear statement about this non-NATO war, there is within the tapestry of Free Republic "a difference of opinion whether or not the US government should be involved in a controversial foreign war where we were not attacked."

Yup. A difference of opinion. A controversial war. Involvement? Non-involvement? What is clear is that "we were not attacked."

I have a second stance re: this non-NATO war in the Urkaine between two non-NATO belligerents. It is that there has grown up a cottage industry of profiteers investing their "reporting" with the purpose of earning money via monetized YouTube channels AND many of them are resident here in our United States. In a similar manner, another set of threads promotes monetized X-Twitter channels with the same purpose. Clicks. Money. AdSense.

As Major General Butler observed long ago, "war is a racket." It is also a fool's game. And it is a game of thugs, marked with corruption on all sides. Meanwhile:

Debt Clock

Kazan is living in his dreamworld in the middle of Moscow.
When Russia will retreat from Ukraine, and when the war is over, we should welcome him to the free world here in the West for a short visit. A place not inhabited by the culture of death, and absolute Government control which considers its people as solely canon-fodder. A place where we can vote for the President we want, and not suffer endlessly decades after decades under the same Dear Leader. A place which is not preying on its neighbors, or annexing by force sovereign nations.

Once he discovers the West, he will never want to return back to NeoSoviet Russia. Already 1,5 million smart Russians have fled Russia since it started this mad war of invasion. He should join them and save himself from the deep-state warmongering “angels of death” running the Kremlin.

narrative in the worldwide media seems to be shifting.

The narrative in the mass media shifts back and forth all the time. Taking a few articles on Ukraine out hundreds per week, then acting as if they are the ones with deeper meaning proves nothing when "the narrative" shifts back and forth every few days. "The narrative" by itself is not the reality, it is what those creating it want people to think.

No matter what "the narrative" says today, until one side clearly wins and the other loses, Russia has not won and Ukraine has not lost.

You get no argument from me on the above. Expanding it slightly, "until one side clearly wins and the other loses, Russia has not won or lost and Ukraine has not won or lost."

Although both opposing views have been expressed, and often. I refrain from foreseeing the eventual outcome. Time will tell. What it will tell, we all will have to wait to find out.

Vladimir Putin Receives Sinister Birthday Gifts From Kim Jong-Un and Iran as War in Ukraine Intensifies: Report
Radar
Joshua Wilburn
10-7-2023
https://radaronline.com/p/vladimir-putin-birthday-gifts-kim-jong-un-iran-war-ukraine-intensifies/

Russian President Vladimir Putin found himself on the receiving end of grim birthday presents from ruthless dictator “chums” from around the world, including North Korean dictator Kim Jung-Un and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Professor Anthony Glees, an expert in international relations, has shed light on the situation, telling the Daily Star that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine may overshadow the birthday celebrations.

He points out that Ukrainian counter-attacks have created “deep holes” in three Russian defensive lines, potentially signaling a major loss for Russia.

Vladimir Putin has been accused of killing his political opponents in the past.

“Putin, of course, will be thinking about presents. He’s already had some good ones from his chums. Kim Jong-Un has offered him North Korean weapons, and Iran has offered him drones,” Professor Glees told the outlet.

“Slovakian voters have just given his sinister chum Robert Fiko most votes in their recent election, so the EU could now have three heads of government alongside Hungary’s [Viktor Orban] and Poland’s [Mateusz Morawiecki], who veer towards Russia and away from Ukraine.”

A group of Russian naval officers were accused of leaking top secret information to Ukraine.

These gifts may provide some solace to Putin as he faces pressure from the Ukrainian forces led by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Ukrainian counter-attacks have not only destroyed Russian forces but have also widened the paths, clearing Russian minefields in the process.

This development could pave the way for the US Abram tanks provided by President Joe Biden to make their way towards Crimea.

The majority of Russia’s fighting-aged men are on the frontlines of the ongoing conflict rather than at home starting families.
Article continues below advertisement

The tension in Ukraine has escalated to a point where birthday raids have become a reality for Putin. It was reported that these raids were a response from Zelenskyy’s forces to Russian aggression.

“Four deep holes punched by the Ukrainians through the three Russian defensive lines to the southeast of Ukraine,” Glees explained. “These are now being widened, destroying Russian forces and clearing Russian minefields in the process, creating a path for the US Abram tanks Biden has given him to start to battle their way towards Crimea.”

This birthday may be one of the most critical for Putin, as the outcome of the war in Ukraine holds important implications for his future as well as Russia’s standing on the global stage.

Glees compared the Ukrainian effort to the Allied advance into Western Germany in 1945.

“Ukrainian forces are carrying out many other daring raids against Russia, striking deep into Russian controlled areas, including blowing up the HQ of the Black Sea fleet in Crimea and taking out a submarine and warship,” the professor told the outlet.

“For example, Ukrainian grain ships can use the Black Sea for exports, and Putin is powerless to stop them.”

In The Midst Of Atrocity Crimes In Ukraine, Will Russia Be Allowed To Rejoin U.N. Human Rights Council?

On October 5, 2023, Russia attacked the village of Hroza near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, killing at least 51 people, including a child, and making it one of the deadliest attacks in Putin’s war on Ukraine. The strike wiped out around one-fifth of the entire village. The attack comes only a day after the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine published its report into the very cost of Putin’s war. According to the U.N. nearly 10,000 have been killed and tens of thousands injured since the war began in February 2022. The deadly attack and the new report come only a week before the United Nations is to vote on Russia rejoining the United Nations’ top human rights body, the U.N. Human Rights Council, on October 10, 2023.
