I had my 1974 454 Chev pickup lock the carb butterfly wide open.
It took both feet on the brake to slow it enough to turn the car off.
Poking screwdriver into the carb got it back to normal.

I have a new tractor, a Case IH 50A. It has a computer and an electric foot and hand throttle. Every now and again it will suddenly go to idle and stay there. I have to shut it down and restart it then it goes again until the next time.

We all know that even the best computers never do get a "glitch" and just decide to do nothing or worse. Never happens does it? Of course it does. Who thinks self-driving anything will ever do any better? Not me. Not trusting them
