RESIDENTS in Oxford were left shocked after a mystery fireball erupted in the sky after a massive bang.
Numerous locals in the city have been reporting about the "fireball" with the sky "pulsating with flames and smoke" this evening.
A number of concerned citizens took to X, formerly Twitter, to voice their concerns about the shock phenomenon.
One shocking video showed the night sky illuminated by a massive ball of flames.
The fire then billowed into the night, leaving locals stunned.
While another wrote: "Anybody else in Oxford see that fireball??
"Loud explosion and then the sky just did this, keep in mind it's supposed to be dark."
A third user also managed to grab footage of the "strange" event and noted that the "sky was pulsating".
Othe users online also agreed that the sky was "glowing for two minutes" before suddenly disappearing.
Some terrified members of the public reported they experienced a momentary loss of power shortly after the explosion.

THEY are coming
New Mexican Restaurant in town?...........................
Interesting.
Wife had me buy a bag of Black Cow cow manure.
Apparently the headquarters is in Oxford somewhere in the USA.
When I was in middle/high school, we would take thin plastic garbage bags, fill them with natural gas from the chemistry lab, tie them shut, attach a long paper streamer which we would light with a lighter as we released them outside. They would float up and them go ‘poof’ in a big fireball.
I would not be surprised that this is just some college prank.
Can find no explanation as to what this was, so far.
What did they expect?
Saboteur Wars, begun they have. Good luck beating Russia and China at that game.

I've seen that happen and it's a good show if you catch one.
One exploded close to our house, sounded like a bomb! Very unsettling, but the beaver dam dynamiting in our neighborhood is more so since the guy shooting at the dynamite sometimes takes hours of repeat blasts.
Probably the battery of an electric car.
“Mystery fireball” is getting to be a bit of a canard like “died suddenly”.
Get used to it Britain.... Now that your government is sending troops to Ukraine, the Russians might take that as a declaration of war.
I spent over a year in England working on a govt contract about 100 miles East of Oxford. A village not far from where I stayed had a Mexican restaurant. Although it was what you might expect from an ethnic restaurant in rural England, it wasn't the worst Mexican I've ever had.
The best Italian food I ever had was in Germany!..................
