For decades, the Kennedy family has been political royalty in the Democratic Party. Of course, Democrat U.S. Senator John F. Kennedy (D-MA) was elected President of the United States in 1960.

The DemocRats of our fathers (I assume that most of us are boomers or early Gen Xers) are not the DemocRats of today. I believe that JFK would be a Republican today.

JFK in 1960 was more conservative/America-first probably than even Trump. Such is the change in the nature of American society and politics.

It’s bad for Trump. It’s Ross Perot.

Isn't that a misleading title?

"Kennedy Is Leaving the Party of Corruption"

Sounds like breaking news...but then (in the body of the article)...

"Kennedy has scheduled “a major announcement” for October 9 in Philadelphia, PA. It is widely believed he will declare his intention to withdraw from the Democratic Party presidential primaries and launch a bid for the White House as an independent."

Curiously, Rasmussen released a poll showing how many Dems would consider voting for an independent RFK, but not how many Pubbies would...

Deep State is using RFK as a place to stash flipped votes for Trump...

RFK is Deep State.

Can’t believe the Dems will let 80+ Biden be their nominee again. His senility is obvious.

“It’s bad for Trump. It’s Ross Perot.”

Hard to tell, but maybe the case. But one thing, for sure, if the NeverTrumpers get their way, then a HUGE CHUNK of Trump’s support goes to Kennedy, and so the race will be between Biden (or his replacement) and RFK Jr, with the Democrat likely winning.

RFK, Jr. has been working overtime to spread antivax misinformation among conservatives (while he personally wants everyone around him to be vaccinated).

There is nothing intrinsically conservative about rejecting science. But people like RFK, Jr. disguise anti-science as a matter of liberty and, sadly, too many conservatives are duped by it.

Don’t be fooled. RFK, Jr. is a radical environmentalist lawyer. He is a leftist. Just because he framed antivax/anti-science in terms of conservative ideology does not mean he is conservative. He’s doing this to take votes away from Trump. The last thing he wants is for the government to be of, for, and by the people, which Trump worked very hard to give us.

Nope. PYou might be surprised. I’m an earlier Millenial. There are quite a few of us on here . JFK would definitely be Republican nowadays- with the exception of a pro-immigration stance. The Kennedys were raised extremely Irish Catholic & their family having been recent immigrants themselves, tended to have a verrrry pro immigration stance. Of course that was during a time when most of the immigrants came from Britain, Ireland & Europe & came here legally, already spoke or learned English & became loyal & proud Ameicans who worked really hard & never expected handouts 😉

Great statement! The biggest division is abortion. That sealed the division. JFK would never have been part of pro choice. I believe that Bobbie Kennedy wouldn't either.

He’s a red herring to draw people from Trump.

Just another part of the Deep State plan, whether he knows it or not.

First of all conservative programs shouldn’t have been putting this guy on as if hes such a great alternative to Biden.

Now you have to worry about him taking votes from Trump.

RFK junior is about as left-wing as you can get and he’s an environmental loon.
This would really have to play out because You have a lot of idiot suburban republicans who Don’t Want To vote for Trump and did things like write in Mitt Romney last time.
I definitely felt they helped elect Biden because they should have been republican votes for Trump.
However, if they really want to vote against Trump it’s probably better they vote for this idiot than for Biden.
On the other hand, will people on the Democrat side who know that Biden is awful vote for RFK junior? And would they have otherwise voted for Trump.
But again, idiot conservative programs have been putting this guy on for our conservative audiences as if he’s great and that is a stupid mistake.

"...his intention to withdraw from the Democratic Party presidential primaries and launch a bid for the White House as an independent."

That will do nothing more than draw votes away from Trump. It even smells like a Demonrat fake-out in order to do just that.

Maybe...maybe not. It also depends on who's on the Democrat ticket...and odds are sinking that it will be Biden and/or Harris.
