Set my teeth on edge. If you are a man who is/wants to be effeminate, do you have to be such a swish caricature? How about settling for gentle and nurturing?
Laughingstock, weak military. Primary purpose: 1) kill people and break things. 2) Deterrence is even better, but requires ability to carry out #1. 3) build and repair as necessary.
