Argentina is a developed country, with an educated population, a huge middle class, and tremendous natural resources.
But when you look at it closely...you learn quickly why its nationals want to flee, and why anti-establishment "anarcho-capitalist" Javier Milei is leading in the polls and likely to win Argentina's presidency come October.
The problem is inflation — 165% inflation as of July, according to Steve Hanke's inflation index, which is the most accurate reading.
Tucker Carlson went down to Buenos Aires to find out exactly what that is like, exploring in a mere ten minutes on Twitter just how normal people have to live with it on an extended basis, all because its socialist government can't stop printing money.
It's a doozy. See it here. [at link]
t's powerful stuff because it describes how people live with this nightmare, and he talks to the best of the best Argentinian experts who live in the country, such as economist and professor Diana Mondino. A prominent economist in the States once told me she was known as "the woman who knows everything."
It's also fearsomely accurate — it describes the Argentina I saw during its post-2001 devaluation period, with people losing their life savings to inflation, people unable to get their money out of banks, people bitterly banging on pots and pans in protest, people desperately trying to get hold of black market dollars just to have currency that is worth something tomorrow, and stuffing those dollars under their mattresses. Tucker's segment told me that absolutely nothing has changed in that country, except that it's getting worse, and the people are ready to rise up to put a stop to the nightmare.

The left always destroy economies. It is what people get when they vote for the insane leftists.
He didn’t have to leave to show us that.
It's good to see what's coming up a little farther down the tracks.

I just got done watching this interview. This was an interview with our kind of guy. A lover of freedom.
The Biden regime and all the EU commies hate him. An election is coming so I expect to see the US female neocon vermin duo of Nuland and Powers on their way to see to it this man gets defrauded out of a win.
Listen to him describe why he is pro life.
Limited government is always the answer. The less they are allowed to do, the less there is to spend.
Shut down the US government until a budget is produced that matches 2023 receipts.
What's scary, is that a good share of our electorate is ignorant to what they are doing when they vote for Leftist/Marxist/Dems.
Amen.
I used to read the history of the Weimar Republic and wonder why the government was so stupid as to print unlimited tons of money. Germans aren’t stupid people.
Little did I know that the U S politicians would do the exact same thing.
Maybe it is time for some groups to start studing how Germany mananged to restructure their economy.
However, with the demographic destruction of our population, we probably couldn’t do what the Germans did at that time. It took a united effort of a united people.
We will soon have Mexican drug cartels running parts of this country, like they now do in Mexico.
The journalism that Tucker Carlson is putting out without having to be filtered by his political minders at Fox News is amazing. The man is actually able to tell Americans the truth they really need to hear.
...and repubs.
Hitler, a socialist, was bought by the industrialists to purge hardcore communists from the Nazi Party and the country. I don't think we want that here.
Is it a good place top spend our winters?-American dollars in hand. If that funny-haired fella wins next month it just might be where the action is. Hate to think it could get violent. This guy is excitable and young(53) enough to stick around like Maggie Thatcher did.
Weather about the same as here...............
Government causes hyper-inflation because it is beneficial to the government. Hyper-inflation reduces all savings to zero value, thus confiscating what people worked all their lives to obtain. Politicians are not bothered by hyper-inflation because they just raise their salaries and/or increase the graft and corruption.
Happening here too.
I have always thought that young people ought to ‘get that’ to an extent that would laugh Communism out of existence, forever.
Instead, is the ‘media’ have lionized Communist shills and the media have reduced the Communist ‘pitch’ to the level of emotion.
Young people (along with the ill informed, inexperienced and disaffected) are easy targets for emotional pandering. What is more, keeping 'education' to a strictly one dimensional representation of facts, assures that people come out of our schools with a completely deficient grasp of how Communism works.
Great article, Tucker is right on the point, our country is headed in that direction under Biden
“Shut down the US government until a budget is produced that matches 2023 receipts.”
The Border Patrol, FAA, federal courts, TSA, DoJ, IRS, Depertment of Agriculture, Patent & Trademark Office, Congress, White House, military, Veterans Administration, etc. need to be funded to at least basic extents.
Basic budget bills can be passed.
More money can be appropriated later on, if necessary and proper.
Budgeting is like travel. I don’t forecast every step I’m going to take in London. I buy the flight and lodging for the first week or two.
What needs to happen is that things like transportation have to be done by block grants to states. Congress can’t be expected to know about every old bridge in Pennsylvania.
But they never ever learn a thing and keep doing the same thing and elect socialists. Why and how can they be so stupid? Free ice cream! That is how. They still fall for it just about every time.
