From the linked article:
"Hurricane Idalia rapidly intensified from 75 mph to 130 mph before landfall as it churned toward the Big Bend, and there’s a growing body of research showing that rapid intensification is happening more often with climate change." Sigh... please identify for me all of the historical instances of rapid intensification ... or are they simply assuming that its happening more often since we don't have reliable records before the era or hurricane hunters and modern weather satellites?

My dad was on a light cruiser from 1939-1945 in the Pacific and the Atlantic, he described some incredible storms and waves.

it looks like what one would expect in a windy rainy storm. people can stand by their door or window and record similar, camera moving due to wind.
waste of money and time. just send the weather people out like they usually do. they get real footage and when it doesn’t look serious enough they fake it too.

Waves towering nearly 23 feet tall rolled violently as Idalia’s winds gusted to nearly 100 mph. Could've been worse.

Keep in mind that the Tampa Bay Times is a LEFTIST newspaper.. thus the reason for the story claiming this is due to "climate change."
