The Ropuchas may be more significant than we think. It seems that they can’t run civilian freighters into Sebastopol anymore, so they depend on armed, agile, fast (or faster than freighters anyway) amphibious ships for this job.

It’s really disgusting that so many alleged patriots do not bother to make themselves familiar with government spending and macroeconomics.

Maybe they should be called neandercons.

“A drop in an ocean. How exercised are you by the (government mandated, incredibly corrupt) vast inefficiency in US medical care? That is on its own 3x bigger than the whole defense budget. Go rage at something that really matters”

Sorry, I am in total agreement with what that comment. The whole Budget should be reviewed. Remove senseless positions & agencies. Did you know the Federal gov’t has 5 sq miles I believe of buildings which are not even used! We are freely handing our money, educations, housing S.S. etc to illegal aliens!!!

1. Russia Lacks Supplies at the Frontline: Putin Withdraws Manpower and Equipment from Belarus

Dictator Lukashenka has been actively supporting dictator Putin during the Russian war. The main support is in deployment of Russian manpower and equipment on the territory of Belarus. But on account of the lack of military supplies at the front, Russia has been collecting men and equipment back.
For example, Mi-8 and Mi-24 combat helicopters, Su-34 and Su-30SM fighters. Even the number of Russian ‘Wagner’ mercenaries in Belarus is also declining. However, some things are still being imported to its territory, like OTR-21 Tochka missile systems which are capable of carrying a tactical nuclear warhead. And despite Russia’s withdrawal of almost all its units from Belarusian territory, a threat to Ukraine still emanates from the north. Where this will lead to and other details – learn in our story.

Ukrainian de-mining engineers have achieved a legendary status in Ukraine for their work cutting through Russian defensive lines and minefields,

Ugh. This one's for you and your endless, circular, insidious obfuscations. $100,000,000,000 for Youcrayne? No. No. No.

That $100,000,000,000 was earned by hard working Americans, many of whom are now just scraping by in no small part because of the onerous tax burden levied on them by the filth in DC who spend their money like drunken sailors on leave. Youcrayne is one of their pet projects designed to continue enriching themselves and to hide their illegal, corrupt enterprises. Youcrayne is the most corrupt nation in Europe. Not one more penny of US taxpayers' hard-earned dollars must go to prop up that craphole.

A question for you: Why do you, and all other Youcrainiacs lie, gaslight, propagandize and obfuscate reality in desperate attempts to defend the indefensible; the evil neocon/globalist/leftist manipulations and funding of the most corrupt nation in Europe, one notorious for child trafficking, money laundering, Nazis in the military and massive government corruption that might make even the Bidens blush. Why are you so madly in love with that craphole and against US citizens control of where their money is spent?

I want not one penny of my money going to that shithole, and most Americans don't either.

pfft

I want not one penny of my money going to that shithole, and most Americans feel the same.

You like entering line breaks a lot. Weird.

Anyway - this is a big, complicated world. It can’t be reduced to a Manichaean contest between the forces of light and darkness. It works as a narrative in fantasy literature, and in some hands, like Tolkein, great fantasy literature. But it is not reality.

Let us take everyones favorite historical example, WW2, and Franklin Roosevelt. By most standards he was a horrible President. He kept the US in the Great Depression for half a decade longer than the rest of the world. And the US population cheered him for that, go figure.

But he was, in the end, instrumental in forcing a tolerable conclusion to a global disaster (WW2), and inadvertently, also finding a fix to the US domestic disaster that he had perpetuated. He died a national hero.

That is the nature of reality. Mixed motives, competing interests, truths that look different from 10,000 miles away, interactions not apparent from your front porch, but that can reach out and touch you regardless.

It helps to seek an education - not a useless college degree, but actual reading, and on the spot experience if you can get it. Wisdom comes from perspective, and perspective comes from information.

Of course: what RevMom posts is close to pure propaganda.

We have speculated about why there are several repeating Ukraine propaganda threads posted on FR daily, but we just don’t know for sure.

Is it a Biden / Deep State effort to shape opinion on social media (currently the subject of lawsuits that the Biden regime is losing), is RevMom a paid shill, is her church subsidizing the effort? We just don’t know.

We do know that Russia continues to occupy about 18% of Ukraine. They show no signs of leaving. Ever.

That’s not “Ukraine winning”, and a few destroyed Russian planes or tanks doesn’t change that.

The many "Denys types" on these "daily amen™" threads play a variety of rhetorical games because getting an opponent to follow a mis-direction is an old stratagem. Continual repetition is another. The aim is consistent - justify spending on war. In this case, a non-NATO war between non-NATO nations....

The enormous US debt is slowly collapsing much in these United States, while the supporters of spending US funds on continuing war blithely cheer the ISW lobbyists. This is the neocon/neolib theme, consistent from year to year.

"At the last count America's Federal Reserve had a paper loss of $911bn on its $8.2trn securities portfolio." In "Quantitative easing cost hundreds of billions. Was it worth it?" Economist 31 June 2023.

$ 32,923,893,553,629 and rapidly rising. -- today.

US Debt Clock

Whether Ukraine wins or Russia wins, Europe is moving into recession and these United States are burdening our children and grandchildren with, as the Debt Clock graphic shows, more than $254,000 per taxpayer. This relegates our next generations into one of two classes: 1) government dependency and therefore unable to repay the growing debt, or 2) taxpaying and taking on a burden not made by themselves.

The phase of some historical meaning to Americans, "taxation without representation." Generational taxation, spending tomorrow on a giant credit card.

These are things I find about the "daily amen™" thread.

1) the promotion of a small number of monetized YouTube channels,

2) the reprinting of a "glorious leader's" speeches as if people actually read them,

3) the echo chamber of much in the UK media, which serves a fading ex-colonial nation importing enough of the 3rd world as to have its capital led by a Muslim, and the CoE now getting about 1 percent support from its own "English,"

4) rarely any middle stance, as the proponents of this thread attempt to paint all who disagree with them as "pro" Putin,

5) precious little cogent debate, but rather a lot of "moderator" activity which is definitely not a feature of most other threads.

I suspect, behind it all, lies ideological agreement with the Biden-Blinken-Nuland foreign policy, draped in a pretend "conservatism."

As you comment to me, I shall respond. Many others on this thread are not genuine conservative interlocutors in a free forum of ideas.

“Oh, I forgot you are one of those OTHER-PEOPLE’S-MONEY and OTHER-PEOPLE’S-BLOOD types. By the way, how many more such “drops in an ocean” should we spend on Ukraine?”

I asked her the other night if she ever considered that her grandchildren and great grandchildren would be paying the bill for Ukraine.
Never got an answer on that.

Go rage at something that really matters.

It's not a drop in the ocean. That, of course, is a ridiculous lie. The US has gifted far more money to the Ukraine than it has given to any other nation before. The Biden/NATO attempts to provoke WWIII will cost us even more if they succeed.

That money could secure American borders and replenish the Federal fuel reserve, restore weapons/arms to our depleted military, but you wouldn't want that - you only care about the Ukraine. The Ukraine is a tick feeding off the American tax payer and you want the tick to be happy, even if it means America country withers, is overrun at our borders and unarmed at the feet of China as a result.

Even more sickening is that the money we taxpayers give to your Ukraine doesn't actually benefit the average citizens. Big scandals exposed in the Ukraine as the military leaders and others (Zelensky, for example) soaked up the money themselves, padding their filthy rich lifestyles while the average citizens fled the country because no one cared enough to ensure they had heat, light and water (even if that meant negotiations).

No, our 'foreign aid' to the Ukraine is divided up among the elites in the Ukrainian military (Yes - the Azov Nazi's want to tell us "Thank You!"), Zelensky, and likely other NATO agencies. THey feed like pigs at the trough. We US taxpayers are paying the salaries and pensions of the corrupt officials in the Ukraine for no reason. It's a failed puppet propped up by the US.

ENOUGH! I'm tired of the Ukrainian ticks and the proxy war puppeteers being paid from AMerican coffers, and their 'advocates' sneering that we are biased and draining us is really just a 'drop in the ocean' when we object.

You and other Ukrainian apologists (and recipients) DO NOT APPRECIATE ONE DIME you've drained from our country. Your repulsive attitude is enough to snap our wallets shut and tell you to get lost. Your argument requires you to have a 'rip-off-the-US' mentality so common among ticks.

Gotta love how enthusiastic these foreigners on here are about spending *our* money.

If they want to give money to their idol, Zelensky, they should start GoFundMe pages for him and cough up their own money.

Minor points -
- I am a US taxpayer, and have been for 40 years
- I appreciate the price the US has paid to maintain the Pax Americana more than most; I have worked in the US “military-industrial complex”.
- I have extensive historical background. I moved about a thousand volumes from San Francisco to Bilbao, havind disposed of thousands more, a few years ago.

Dont assume you are arguing with ignorant people just because they dont agree with you.

Its “my” money too, you know. Most of my income and assets derive from the US, and me and the IRS have an intimate relationship. Not to mention my kids who are Americans (their mom qualifies for the DAR).

In any case, your statement is just another ad hominem.
